Rivier Employee Wellness Program Mission: To improve the overall physical, emotional and financial health of our employees through active participation in the Rivier Employee Wellness Program. Participation is voluntary, although it will allow employees and their spouses to become more aware of their health while taking steps to live healthier lifestyles. Studies show that living healthy lifestyles can improve the overall quality of life for an individual while decreasing the risk of heart disease, stroke, diabetes and other health issues. Employee Financial Savings: Employees who participate in this program will receive a bi-weekly credit in the amount of $25 for single plans ($650 annually) and $50 for employees with spouses on the plan ($1,300 annually). This savings is reflected in the Wellness Rates on applicable forms. Vision: Employees engaging in various wellness resources to expand, improve, or create a healthy lifestyle. Rivier University, along with its wellness partners including Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, The Wellness Project, Citizens Bank, New England Workplace Therapy Chair Massage and many other select local resources, is committed to providing employees the tools needed to achieve their wellness goals, including physical, emotional and financial health. Overview of Program: Rivier University believes in your future and wants to invest in your overall wellness to help you succeed not only at work, but outside of the workplace by giving you practical tools that will be useful in everyday life. All Rivier employees, regardless of physical status, are welcome to participate in the Wellness Program, however, Benefit-Eligible employees who enroll in Rivier’s group health insurance and actively participate in the program will pay the Wellness Rate on their insurance premium. This program does not have any “physical standards” that must be met in order to receive the incentive rate, nor does your physical state determine how much you participate in the program. You will receive the credit as long as you regularly participate in the Wellness Program. Participation details are outlined below.
