Recipe Page How to Read A Recipe All of the recipes can be duplicated in one of two ways: The Scoops Method or the Scale Method. TK B The Scoops Method is on the left hand side of each recipe; the Scale Method is on the right. For example: Make Aqua Teal Using the Scoops Method TKB's special measuring scoops come in three sizes: 0.05 (small), 0.1 (medium) and 0.5 (large). To make Aqua Teal, you would measure out one large scoop (0.5) of Blueberry Pop, one large scoop (0.5) and one small scoop (0.05) of Apple Green Pop, and one medium scoop (0.1) of Lemon Drop Pop. Following this recipe, you will make a total that will equal about 1.15 grams. This is the amount used to fill a single eye shadow jar. An eye shadow jar can hold about 1 to 1.5 grams. You can always look at the Total at the bottom to get an idea on how big the recipe is going to be. Make Aqua Teal Using the Scale Method For the kit, you will want to stick to the Scoops Method. You do not have to read about the Scale Method right now. However, in the future, if you want to make bigger batches, you'll want to start using the Scale Method. For the Scale Method, you need a scale which can measure in at least 0.10 grams. The easiest way to follow the Scale Method is to make exactly 100 grams of product, which will be equal to about 1 ½ cups of finished product. In this recipe, you would measure out 43 grams of Blueberry Pop, 48 (43 + 5) grams of Apple Green Pop, and 9 grams of Lemon Drop Pop. If 1 ½ cups is too much product for you, simply divide all the numbers equally. (For example, divide each number by 5 and then mix together only 8.6 grams Blueberry Pop, 9.6 grams Apple Green Pop, and 1.8 grams Lemon Drop Pop.) If you want to make a larger batch, simply multiply all the numbers equally.
