Black & Refried Beans Tips:
Quick-Start Chili:
• Add seasoning/ingredients in step 2 for signature beans.
1. In a 4-quart pot, add 21⁄2-quarts of hot water (190˚F) and 1 pouch of chili.
• Hold beans according to safe handling guidelines (steamtable, steam cabinet
at 180˚F; Oven at 200-̊250˚F or Stovetop over low flame using double boiler).
2. Heat to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer covered for a minimum of 15 min.,
stirring occasionally.
• Don’t stir beans until ready to serve.
3. Stir prior to serving.
