Day One—Arrive in
Amsterdam. Drive to
Haarlem and board ship.
Day Two—Tulip fields
abound. A morning
excursion takes us along
the growing areas. Sail
to Enkhuizen (the
eastern-most point in
Northern Holland), a
quintessential fishing
village. Visit the quaint
town center and the
Zuiderzee Museum.
Day Three—Choose
between guided walk of
Enkhuizen or the
“Dutch Experience” to
meet some of the locals.
Cruise southwest to
Friesland, dock in
Lemmen to visit the The
Royal Eisinga Planetarium, a Unesco site.
Day Four—Peaceful
morning sailing to
Lelystand. Visit the
Batavia Shipyard, board
the “Batavia,” originally
built in 1628 and
wrecked on its maiden
voyage, taking ten years
to reconstruct. Later
sample the local cheeses
and more.
Day Five—Sail in the
morning. Enjoy onboard lecture and taste
sweet local specialties.
After lunch visit the
Airborne Museum, dedicated to the Battle of
Arnhem. Or visit the
Kroller-Muller Museum…your choice.
Day Six—Rotterdam.
After lunch excursion to
Gouda. Or visit the
Gardens of Keukenhof,
70 acres with seven million flower bulbs planted every year.
Day Seven—Guided
sight-seeing canal boat
tour. Afternoon free.
Amsterdam is one of my
favorite cities—or you
may choose an optional
excursion. Disembark
the next morning.

I simply love Italy!

we’ll top it off with a visit to

1998, they opened the Brickyard Café in Bowling Green,
Kentucky. In the summer of
