Shifts are held concurrently at two centers:
GREENMOUNT BOWL: 1625 N Main St,
Hampstead, MD 21074; (410) 374-6211.
Start Times
Friday evening: 7:00pm (3 games);
Saturday morning: 9:00am (4 games);
Saturday evening: 4:00pm (3 games);
Sunday: 11:00am (single elimination).

Each division will bowl one shift at each
house at least once during the tournament.
Team Division:
TEAM BRACKET FINALS SCHEDULE
• Top two teams in each of the four divisions advance
to Finals at Greenmount Bowl on Sunday morning.
• Any ties will advance to one game roll-off.
• 10:00 am roll-off; 11:00 am bracket playoffs begin.
• Round 1 of Finals will be bracket championships.
• Round 2 will be semi-final competitions among
bracket champions.
• All bowlers must be sanctioned by NDBC
for the 2016-17 season and be 21 years old
as of 5/12/17.
•Bowlers will use their highest 2015-2016
average for 45 games or more.
• Bowlers without averages will be subject
to Tournament Director’s discretion.
• Handicap will be calculated using the following formula: 0.8*(160-average).
Team Competition:
• Teams will bowl ten games head-to-head
during the preliminary round. The schedule
will be determined by random draw.
Type of Tournament
This is a hybrid tournament with both a handicap team division and individual handicap
division.
Individual Division:
• Five bowlers per team.
• 80% handicap. • Ball-for-ball competition.
• Teams will be randomly divided in four divisions of six
teams for 10 game preliminary competition.
• Teams will bowl each team in their division twice
during preliminary competition.
Other Details:
$125 per person ($625 per team) due May
1, 2016. Payment guarantees spot. Demand
will be high for this event.
• Ten games bowled with team count for
individual standings.
• 80% handicap
• Top 6 bowlers qualify for bracket
INDIVIDUAL BRACKET FINALS SCHEDULE
• Conducted at Mt. Airy Lanes
• Saturday 8:00 pm with party for all tournament
participants. Food and entertainment available.
Cash bar available.
• #1 seed and #2 seed get bye for first round of
indivual brackets.
• Round 1 will be #6 vs. #3 and #4 vs. #5.
• Round 2 will be the lowest remain seed vs. #1
and the two remaining seed vs. each other.
• The team with the higher total, including
handicap, for the game wins.
• The number of teams qualifying for the final round bracket will be determined by the
number of entries.
• Any ties for the final bracket positions will
be resolved by a one-game roll-off.
• Teams will be seeded in the bracket based first
on wins, then ten-game handicapped score,
then high handicap game, then a coin flip.
• Teams will be re-seeded after each round of
the bracket so the lowest-remaining seed
bowls the highest remaining seed, and so on.
Individual Competition:
• Teams will be ranked by wins. Two points
will be awarded for each win; one point
will be awarded for each tie.
• All bowlers entered in the team competition are automatically entered in the individual completions.
• Individual bowler handicaps will be added
together to determine the team handicap.
The team handicap will be added to the
team’s scratch score each game.
•Bowlers will be ranked individually based
on their 10-game preliminary round handicap scores. Bowlers must complete all 10
games to be eligible.
• The top six bowlers in each division will
qualify for the bracket finals. The top two
seeds will get a bye then third seed will
bowl the sixth seed, followed by the fourth
seed bowling the fifth seed in one game
matches. The winners will bowl the first
and second seeds based on ranking with
the first seed bowling the lowest ranked
winner and the second seed bowling the
highest ranked winner. Then the winners of
each match will bowl for the championship.
• The results of the bracket determines the
finishing place of the top four bowlers.
Saturday Night Party:
• A reception will be held on Saturday evening at Mt. Airy Lanes as part of the Individual Competition Championship. Everyone is invited. Food and refreshments are
included. Cash bar is available.
