New Cat Toys to Debut at 2013 Global Pet Expo
GOLDEN, CO – (For Immediate Release) – While the KONG Company started out more
than 36 years ago creating toys for dogs, recent years have seen tremendous growth in
its line of quality cat toys and treats.
KONG will be displaying new cat products at the Global Pet Expo inside the Orange
County Convention Center in Orlando, FL from Wednesday, February 20 through Friday,
February 22.
Visitors to the KONG booth will be able to test out the following new cat toys, which are
soon to debut in retail stores nationwide. They include:






Scratch Apple – Cats won’t be able to resist this apple. KONG Scratch Apple has a
unique scratching surface with plenty of ridges and grooves, and easily rolls
along the floor. Complete with a twist-off top and a hollow core to hold catnip,
this new product is sure to have cats enthralled for hours.
Flipz – With its bushy tail and propeller-like base, KONG Flipz is the perfect
amusement toy for cats and their pet parents. Felines will not only enjoy this
toy’s unpredictable movements, but also the fact that each Flipz contains a
sampling of KONG’s Premium North American Catnip. KONG Flipz comes in three
assorted colors (pink, yellow and orange).
Thrasher – Finally, a fish that cats can catch! With fins that make a crinkling
noise as well as a sample of KONG’s Premium North American Catnip inside, cats
will not be able to resist the lure of the KONG Thrasher. This new product will be
available in three different characters (clownfish, angelfish and shark).
Scamper – This new product is unique in that it combines three toys into one.
The KONG Scamper’s rolling action will keep a cat moving while the toy’s
corrugate material in the center is perfect for scratching. As an added bonus for
cats, each toy includes a plush mouse stuffed with KONG’s Premium North
American Catnip.
Eight Track – The cat version of “Hot Wheels,” this figure eight-shaped track
allows cats to push rattling balls along through openings on the sides of the toy.
Each KONG Eight Track toy comes with a feather pole at the top of the toy that
cats can bat, as well as a catnip-filled tail at the toy’s base for added
engagement.
Maze Craze – Great for a game of hide-and-seek, the new KONG Maze Craze is
designed not only to keep cats active but also stimulate their minds with the
random movement of the ball.

Treat Ball – With just a few treats placed inside this new product, cats will have a
new way to play with their food. The KONG Treat Ball is an engaging toy and also
serves as a dispenser, releasing treats as it rolls. This toy promotes a
combination of healthy eating, mental stimulation and exercise for cats.
