This year we were in
high demand for full
summer child care
spaces. We decided
to expand this full

child care spaces
instead of our 24

Smith. I will be entering my
fourth year in Human Kinetics at Saint Francis Xavier
University this fall. I am excited to return to Senobe
Aquatic Club for my second

position I served as the Canteen Manager for one summer. I have fond memories of
my own paddling days at Senobe and hope to share my
enthusiasm about the club
with both our returning and
new members. I welcome the
opportunity to make Senobe
a positive and fun experience
for the children and invite
parents to provide feedback
at any time. Welcome to Summer 2015!” Thanks Megan.

Now from our newsest Paddling Camp Team Member:
“My name is Amy and I am 18
years old. I love being outside
and working with kids so I
am very excited to be part of
the Senobe team this summer. Although new to the
club this year I have a lot of
experience working with kids
growing up, and have spent a
couple summers babysitting
down at the lake as well. As a
fourth year student at StFX
pursuing a BSc degree in Human Kinetics, I have taken a
variety of classes that have
given me the opportunity to
work with children in active
environments which has allowed me to implement and
improve my leadership skills.
With previous experience with
this role, I have tons of new
ideas and improvements that I
look forward to putting into
action this year in order to
make it the best summer yet!”
Thanks Amanda.

Our Canteen Chefs of 2015
This year we have two youth
operating our Canteen from
10:00 am to 3:00 pm Monday
to Friday. Also, new this year
is an electronic tabbing system to track member accounts more accurately. Pictures will be assigned to accounts for security purposes
as well. Please send a note
with your child if a caregiver
or someone else will be using
the tab on their behalf. Once
we get up and running we
plan on having a weekly spe-
cial for lunch. This will be
posted by the canteen. Now
to our Chefs, James Amo and
Ian Clarke: James writes
“over the past 7 years I have
paddled at Senobe. My experience has been very positive
and great fun. I paddled both
canoe and kayak. With the
coaches being great and
keeping us active and in
shape. This summer me and
Ian Clarke will be operating
the canteen. We look forward
to working and expanding the
Canteen’s menu this summer.”
Our Canteen Menu will be
posted on the Senobe website
for your reference. This
should be up before July 1st.
If you have any questions
about the canteen you can
speak to our Facilities Manager, Hannah Doiron or contact Board Canteen Oversight

We will still be on the water
on inclement weather days.
So, please ensure your children come with rain gear,
paddling gear such as buns
and lifejackets and/or lifebelts. The only time we are
not on the water is when we
experience thunder and lightening. In fact, on rainy days
there is nothing more fun being on the water with rain
hitting your face.
Also, please bring extra dry
clothes to change into when
needed. Thanks for your help
and understanding.
Let’s have FUN Paddling!!

tors, please have your child/
children sun screened before
morning drop off or apply before you leave. We had children holding up paddling
practices last summer because they were dropped off
to care without sunscreen
and practice was starting.
We appreciate your help and
understanding in getting everyone onto boats safely, efficiently and on time. Paddling
practice times will be given to
you so you are able to plan
your child/children sun
screening and drop off.
Please contact Camp staff if
your child will be absent from
any camp days; phone numbers on page two. Happy
Paddling! :) GO SENOBE GO!
