Sunday 29th June - The ‘Open the Book’ Team. Members of this Churches Together initiative will be
leading our service, including many people from our congregation. Please come and support them and hear
about the work they are doing in our community. More details can be found in the Link
Fund Raising Committee When this was first set up to co-ordinate events we had four members plus Martin,
our Minister and Colin, our Treasurer. Since then numbers have dropped to two and we are looking for others
to join us. If you are interested and would like more information please speak to Cath Hamilton or myself.

Methodist Art Appreciation Group On Wednesday 23rd July we have arranged a tour of Burgh Church
under the expert guidance of Canon Roy Tricker, a well-known Suffolk Churches author, speaker and expert.
This will start at 6.30 pm to catch the evening light. We shall then retire to the Grundisburgh Dog. The cost is
£2 plus the cost of your meal/drinks. Please sign up on the sheet in the entrance hall. You can come to the tour
of the church and skip the pub if you wish – please indicate. We can also arrange transport for you.

CHRISTMAS FAYRE 6th December The Fayre is back again this year by popular demand! Father
Christmas has agreed to attend and there will be the following stalls: Christmas and other Crafts (Mary
Traynor), Cakes and Bakes (Anne Stevenson), ‘Unwanted’ Gifts (Gill Stevenson and Freddie Guest), Books
and Toys (Barry Giffard, Diane Clark, Sandra and David Ball), Teas/Coffees and Refreshments (Dianne
Clarke). If you have an idea for another stall, please come forward. Brian Crowe will mount an exhibition of
Action Men with the theme of commemorating the First World War – remember the Christmas Day Truce and
impromptu game of football?
We are grateful to the people who have responded to our plea for help and have volunteered their services.
What can you do to help? Please speak to Cath Hamilton or Anne Stevenson, or one of the stallholders to offer
your thoughts and talents.
Prayer Requests may be placed on the Cross in the foyer by using the ‘post-its’ provided. Prayer requests can
also be sent on quickly through the Telephone Prayer Circle, telephone Helen Lewis 01394 411232 or by email
