Differences between arteries and veins
arteries take blood away from the heart
veins bring blood back to the heart
arteries carry oxygenated blood
veins carry deoxygenated blood
arteries do not have valves veins have valves
arteries have thicker walls to withstand greater blood pressure (elastic connective tissue)
veins move blood by being squeezed by skeletal muscles
