5th Annual Emmaus Hot Dog Eating Contest
How many hot dogs do you think you can eat in 3 minutes? Do you think you can down
more than anyone else on the Triangle? Here is your chance to sign up for Emmaus’ Fifth
Annual Hot Dog Eating Contest. This is your opportunity to take the title of Champion of
the Emmaus Hot Dog Eating Contest.
There will be three prizes awarded. 1.) Most Hot Dogs 2.) Most Flair 3.) Best Costume or
Hat. The winners will receive prizes and a photo in the East Penn Press along with the
honor of the 2015 Hot Dog Champion. You must be 18 years of age to enter and have a
form of I.D. ready at the contest. Please complete and return this form along with a $10
application fee (cash or check made payable to Emmaus Main Street Partners.)
(If you choose to do this contest you are not eligible for any other contest this day.)
Rules and Registration Form
Where – The official Hot Dog Eating Table in front of Traub’s Doggies, 251 Main Street,
in downtown Emmaus
When – 12 Noon, Saturday, September 19th, 2015
What – To win this competition and claim the honor of Emmaus’ 2015 Hot Dog Eating
Champion the contestant must eat the most hot dogs in the 3 minute time frame OR be the
first to eat 10 hot dogs before the 3 minutes.

The Rules
Must be 18 years of age to enter
Entry is limited to the first 30 applicants
Contestants may not touch the hot dogs until the signal
Only entire hot dogs eaten will be counted (an entire hot dog includes the bun.) Ketchup
and mustard will be provided.
Contestants will have 3 minutes to down all the hot dogs they can handle
Contestants may drink a non-alcoholic beverage of their choice while eating their hot dogs
Buns and hot dogs may be separated, dunked or mangled. All portions of the hot dog
(including the bun) must be eaten
When the 3-minute time limit is up, contestants may not put any additional hot dogs or
buns in their mouths. They will then have 20 seconds to swallow what is in their mouths.
Any contents remaining in contestant’s mouth at the end of the 20 seconds will not be
counted.
Partially eaten hot dogs will not be counted.
Visible signs of sickness will result in disqualification.

All registrants must read and sign this waiver before entering:
I know that eating large amounts of hot dogs is a potentially hazardous and uncomfortable
activity. I should not enter and eat unless I am medically capable and properly trained. I agree to
provide the contest organizers with my “Hot Dog Eating Name.” I realize that should I fail to
provide such name, one shall be provided to me by the contest officials, which may not be as
flattering as one I would have given myself. I also realize that this is all in good fun, and possibly
bad taste, but I agree to be a good sport. I agree to abide by any decision of the contest officials
and any and the entire contest rules. I assume all risks associated with eating in this type of events
including, but not limited to, that stuffed feeling, contact with other contestants, a general dislike
for hot dogs after I am done, and all such risks being known and appreciated by me. Having read
this waiver and knowing these facts and in consideration of you accepting my entry, I, for myself
and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release the Emmaus Main Street Program, the
Borough of Emmaus, PA, the contest organizers, all sponsors, their representatives and their
successors, and the person typing this up, from all claims of liabilities of any kind arising out of
my participation in this event.
