Lego Club: Join us on Saturday, April 5 from 1—2:30pm. We provide the
Legos, you enjoy free Lego play with new friends! For ages 2 – 11.
April Lapsits for ages 0 – 23 months. No need to sign up, just come by for
any of the following dates: Wednesday, April 2 at 10am ; Friday, April 11 at
10am ; Thursday, April 24 at 10am. We’ll read stories, sing songs and engage in educational play.
April Storytimes for ages 2 – 5. No need to sign up, just come by for any or
all of the following dates: Friday, April 4 at 1pm ; Thursday, April 10 at
11am ; Wednesday, April 16 at 11am ; Tuesday April 22 at 6pm. We’ll sing,
play, do a craft, and listen to stories.
Children’s Book Club: For ages 7 –11! We will meet on Saturday, April 19
at 1pm. Pick up a copy of our selection, Wonder by R.J. Palacio. This 2012
multiple award winning book and #1 New York Times Bestseller follows
August Auggie Pullman, a 10 year old who is just like you except he has a
facial deformity. Homeschooled his whole life, he must learn how to adapt
to his new mainstream school. Copies are available at the circulation desk
when you register!
Furry Tails Reading Partners! Is your child a shy or hesitant reader or do
they just love to read? Visit the Library at 6:30pm on Wednesday, April 23
and your child can read to a certified therapy dog! These gentle and sweet
dogs love to be read to! Call or visit to register. Child must be able to read
independently.
Homework Help with Ms. Michelle! Join Ms. Michelle every Thursday
from 3—5pm and she’ll help you with any homework or school projects.

Adult & Teen Programs

The Teen Advisory Group (TAG) will meet on Wednesday, April 9th at 6:30pm. This month
we’ll discuss the upcoming summer reading program. It’s never too late to join TAG! For grades
6 – 12.

Teen Reading Lounge: TRL is an interactive book club for teens 12 –18. Join us on Tuesday,
April 15 at 6:30 for a discussion of The Princess Bride by William Goldman. We’ve all seen (and
probably endlessly quote) the movie, and now we will learn where it all began with this class fantasy novel. Free copies that you get to keep are available at the circulation desk. On Tuesday,
April 29 at 6:30 we will have an interactive artistic workshop based on The Princess Bride. Our
next book selection is Coraline by Neil Gaiman. Call or visit to register.

May the Fourth Be With You: For teens 12 – 18, let the force take you the library on Sunday,
May 4th from noon – 3pm. We’ll snack, watch a movie, play Star Wars games, and do some Star

One-on-One eReader Help: Sign up for a half hour, one-on-one session on Saturday, April 26
between 9:30am and 12:30pm. Learn anything from the basics to how to download eBooks for

Severini-Kresock, MS, a private career and college counselor, for a free presentation on the college application process. Free and open to anyone, but especially helpful for high school students

New! Book Club: Starting on Saturday, May 17th at 1pm , the Marian Sutherland Kirby Library
will being a monthly book club for adults. Our first selection is The Engagements by J. Courtney
