New Officers for 2013
Lodge elections were held at the Ordeal/Brotherhood weekend at Camp Lazarus in September. New
Offers were selected to serve for the 2013 Lodge year.
They are:
Dylan Wildman, Vice Chief of Administration
Dan Mitchell, 2013 Lodge Chief
I am 18 years old and from Columbus, Ohio. I am Eagle
Scout and a current asst. scoutmaster from troop 356 in
Dublin, Ohio. I’ve been a member of Tecumseh since I
took my ordeal at the Lazarus ordeal in September 2007.
I am a member of Mwk’alaakwa chapter serving the Darby
Creek district. I have served as vice-chief and chief of
Mwk’alaakwa chapter. I am currently attending Columbus
State and enrolled in a partnership with The Ohio State
University. I am planning to become a high school history
teacher. I am looking forward to this coming year and I
have many plans for the Lodge. I am looking forward to
working with all my fellow arrowmen this coming year.
My name is Dylan Wildman and I am a member of Troop
90 in Plain City, Ohio and I am currently a Junior Assistant
Scoutmaster. I started my scouting experience as a Tiger
Scout, eventually earning my arrow of light. I earned the
rank of Eagle Scout on September 28th, 2010. That same
year I was a Quartermaster on staff for the first Simon
Kenton NYLT course. I am a Brotherhood member of the
Order of the Arrow and have served my chapter
(Mwk’alaakwa) as a Secretary. I am also a member of Sea
Scout Ship 280 (SSS O’shaugnessy) at Leatherlips Yacht
Club- currently serving as Boatswains Assistant for Program.
I am looking forward to another great year for Tecumseh
Lodge!

CHIEFLY
Brethren,
Speaking
First of all, I would like to congratulate
the new Lodge Officers for 2013 and
ask all members to support them
during the upcoming year. When
they request your help, accept the
challenge and become an active part
of the OA Brotherhood. Be there for
them, as they have committed their
time and talents to better our
Brotherhood.
My Brothers,
First off I want to thank you for a
great year; we really showed what a
lodge can accomplish if it comes
together. NOAC was a success, we
had one of the highest turnouts for
the spring fellowship in over three
years, and a great group of new
members were inducted.
That being said, the road in front of
us is not any easier. In 2013,
Tecumseh Lodge will have the privilege of hosting the section
conclave. The section conclave is a huge event where six
lodges from Ohio, Virginia, and Kentucky will gather at Chief
Logan reservation and spend a weekend participating in
training and fun activities. (THAT’S RIGHT, NO
WORK!!!) However, in order to put this on, we will need a
lot of help form all members of the lodge, both new and old, in
order to get Chief Logan prepared.
Once again I want to thank you all for a great year. I would like
to congratulate Dan Mitchell and all of the new officers on
their election.
Also, I would like to recognize our outgoing officers for their
dedication and countless hours of service given to the Lodge:
Chief Michael Osborn, Vice Chief of Administration Kevin
McMains, Vice Chief of Chapters Cody Quillen, Vice Chief of
Activities Zach Fausnaugh, Secretary Arie Leffel, and Treasurer
Isaac Oberer.
The Lodge is currently completing the requirements for the
Journey to Excellence Award. At this time, we are short in the
categories of paid members, and in Brotherhood conversions.
The Officers and Advisors are working to correct these shortages
before the end of the year.
Please note that OA Election training is scheduled for Saturday,
November 10 at the Scout Office, from 10 am until about 11:30.
Anyone involved with OA elections within their respective Chapter
should attend this training session. Election packets will be
distributed to Chapter officers at that time.
Yours in brotherhood,
Michael Osborn
Once the OA election training is completed and the unit election
packets have been distributed, the Chapters can schedule and
conduct OA unit elections. The sooner we start scheduling
elections, the better the chances of having OA elections completed
by the end of February.
Michael Osborn
PS. Remember that if you completed your ordeal anytime last
year, you can come back to get your brotherhood starting at the
fall fellowship in March.
In retrospect, I want to thank all Arrowmen who attended Lodge
and Chapter events this year. We owe our success to your
involvement! Thank you for your support during the past year.
Please keep our Lodge strong by attending functions in the
upcoming year.

elections for the next year.
In addition to this, we hold our chapter meetings the
first Thursday of every month. We are currently working on
training for ceremonies. Anyone who enjoys drumming or
dancing should look into attending. Even if you’re not aspiring
to drum or dance, we still urge members to keep up with what
we’re doing at meetings.
Our chapter meetings are the first Thursday of every
month. They are held at the Plain City Presbyterian Church

Last month during our meeting we cleaned up the
Chillicothe scout office. We are about to elect our new
chapter officers and send out our unit elections. Our
chapter will be attending the spring fellowship at camp
Lazarus. Our chapter will be hosting the section conclave
this year at chief Logan reservation. Our chapter meetings
have been moved to the Chillicothe library on the first
tuesday of the month at 6:30pm.
Conclave Information
Arrowmen, Since we are hosting the Conclave this
year, it will require some extra effort on our part. The last
time we hosted a conclave, we needed two set up weekends to set up tents and dining flys, distribute cots, spruce
up the camp and otherwise prepare for several hundred
guests.
The kitchen will need lots of help that weekend,
and we will need clean up crews, guides, and many others
to do the job well. We only do this once every seven years.
Let's do the job well.

2013 Section C-4B Conclave and the 2013
Jamboree
Officers - continued from page 1
Caleb Franz is the new Vice Chief of Chapters. (no picture)
Hello all,
I am Isaac Sanders, your Section C-4B Chief for 2012-2013. I
would like to share some opportunities available to Arrowmen in
our Section.
First, I would like to invite you to join us at Chief Logan Scout
Reservation in Ray, Ohio on May 17 to 19.
To register for the Conclave, please visit the Section Website at
http://conclave.oa-c4b.org.
This year we have a very different format. We are going with an
Open Program all day long. There are all sorts of Fellowship,
Ritual, AIA, and Training opportunities. Everyone at the Section
and Lodge leadership level is working hard to make this the best
Conclave that we have ever had, and we can’t wait to have you join
us.Cost is $37 if pre-registered.
If you are interested in learning more about the Order of the
Arrow, competing in Ritual Competition or Dancing Competition,
and Fellowship, Friendship, and Fun, then please join us at Conclave
2013.
Second, I would like to discuss an opportunity unique to our
Section. Next year, for the 2013 Jamboree, the OA is looking for
700 Arrowmen to be on staff for Trek Guides, Day of Service
Guides, or part of the Service Corps. The reason that this is unique
is that the Jamboree is in our Section, and will be for the foreseeable
future. This is an amazing opportunity to be part of the first
Jamboree Staff at this new location, something that I know I will
be telling my sons about.
Some notes about being part of Jamboree Staff:
· This is the cheapest way to go to the Jamboree.
·
Available only if you will be older than 16 and younger
than 21 during the Jamboree next year.
If you are interested in serving in any of these positions, please
send me an email for more information.
My name is Caleb Franz. I am an Eagle Scout of Troop 106 and
also the troop chaplain. I have been in Boy Scout since 5th grade
and started out in Cub Scouts in 1st grade. I have been a
brotherhood member for about a year and a half and was
recently elected to the position of Vice Chief of Chapters in
September. Out of Scouts, I am a Junior at Ironton High
School, I am in the Drum-line at the Ironton High School
Marching Band, and I am in the Ironton High School Varsity
Singers.
ZachFausnaugh is the Vice Chief of Activities
My name is Zach Fausnaugh, and I am
