Repartition to subtract
Description
In this activity students perform subtraction with 2-digit numbers. Each problem
requires students to repartition or exchange. A framework is provided to support this
process but its use is optional. This activity is non-adaptive.
Teaching Hints
Encourage students to use the frame to partition and then repartition the numbers.
Use the Support Centre visualisation to demonstrate the process. Ask students to
explain their preferred strategy for solving problems with repartitioning.
