Weekly Reading Goal: ​80 minutes ​recorded on your reading
log.. ​Working on iStation and/or Reading Counts can go
toward your weekly goal. ​Please bring RC books to school
each day.
RC Reading Goal:​ Take 1 test and make 80% or higher
Spelling:
Spelling test on Friday.
Words of the week:
Students will use these words in a sentence on the spelling
test
Homophone of the week:​ break/brake
Synonym of the week:​ late/tardy
Antonym of the week:​ sweltering/freezing
Math
Students will finish working on graphs and tables and move
into learning about personal financial literacy.
Science
Students will explore the concept that some
characteristics of organisms are inherited and some
behaviors are learned in response to their environment.
Social Studies
Please be discussing what your child will wear during our
Living History Museum on March 24. Students will be learning
about the importance of planning a budget in finances.

Upcoming Events March 22 Science Benchmark March 24 Living Hero Museum 8:15-8:45 Students should come dressed that morning as the famous American they have been studying/researching within the last few weeks. If you are having trouble finding something to wear, please let your homeroom teacher know so that we are able to find a way to assist. Students are welcome to change after the museum. 5th SW Suggested work to be completed at home For the 5th six weeks, we will have weekly suggested work to be completed at home. Students will be given a passage each Monday. Students who turn in reading passage WITH strategies will earn a special treat each Friday. Papers will not be accepted late(after Friday of the same week) nor will students receive additional copies due to copyright restrictions. Also,​ students will be responsible for taking AT LEAST 1 RC reading test AND make 80% or higher. Incentives will be given EACH FRIDAY to those students who meet our weekly goal.
