SANTA EXPECTED TO MAKE SPECIAL VISIT TO BALDWIN PARK
“Breakfast with Santa” brings community, families together
BALDWIN PARK, Calif. (December 3, 2015) – Amid the traditional hustle and bustle of
the holiday season, officials in this city are inviting families and local residents to have
breakfast together and visit with Santa.
This Saturday, the Department of Recreation & Community Services will host its
annual “Breakfast with Santa” at the Julia McNeill Senior Center, 4100 Baldwin Park
Blvd. The event is slated from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Organizers said event participants will have the opportunity to enjoy a pancake
breakfast, free holiday arts and crafts at Santa’s Workshop, as well as a visit with Santa
as part of this longtime Baldwin Park tradition. The “Breakfast with Santa” menu
includes pancakes, sausage, and eggs – with a choice of coffee, milk, or juice – at a
cost of $3.50 for adults and $2.50 for children. Children will also be given an opportunity
to visit with Santa for free, and keepsake photos with Santa will available for $3,
according to officials.
April Nava, who is spearheading plans for Saturday’s event, said Frosty the
Snowman is also slated to make an appearance during “Breakfast with Santa.” She
added that representatives from community business Total Care Dental & Orthodontics
will also be on-hand to offer free face painting for children. This is the second year in
which the dental group is collaborating with event organizers.
Nava noted that the “Breakfast with Santa” event has become a popular event
that helps city officials and residents alike get into the holiday spirit.
“This really gets them pumped,” said Nava. “When they get here, we have
Christmas music, they get Frosty the Snowman …
“It is a holiday tradition, and an opportunity for families small or large to come out
together and have a breakfast at a really low cost.”
