with the largest bass caught in overall
sanctioned events. The Lew’s Big Bass

Lew’s Speed Fishing Awards Incentive
Program Official Rules
1. Registration for Lew’s program must be submitted and
confirmed prior to any sanctioned tournament or event.
Previous members of the 2016 Lew’s Speed Fishing Award
program will need to re-register for the 2017 season.
2. Membership costs $29.95 ($24.00 plus $5.95 in shipping
and handling.) and is valid through December 31, 2017.
3. Angler must be the owner of any Lew’s rod(s) and
reel(s) manufactured and registered during or after
2014. Warranty registration will be verified on
every item.
4. Winners of sanctioned events must be verified through
the tournament organization via website, official
organization publication or tournament director.
5. Lew’s decal must be visible on the boat (windshield,
outside gunnel, etc.) and tow vehicle. Decals are provided
when membership is purchased. This rule does not apply
to co-anglers.
6. Lew’s logo must be on angler's tournament jersey and or
an official Lew's apparel item must be worn during the
tournament. A Lew’s cap is provided when membership
is purchased.
7. Lew’s reserves the right to request photographic
evidence of rod/reel ownership and use at any time.
Failure to provide photographic evidence will result
in disqualification in the Lew’s Speed Fishing Awards
program.
8. Lew’s Speed Fishing Awards program winners will be
responsible for paying all taxes on contingency earnings.
9. All Lew’s program claims must be submitted within 30
days of tournament completion to be considered eligible
for payout. Late submissions will not be considered
eligible. Form can be found at lews.com/sfa-program
a. Cash payouts will be in the form of a bank check, and
will be sent via the US mail.
b. Gift certificates are only good through Lew’s directly.
Once you receive your gift certificate through email/mail,
please call 877-470-5397 to place your order. There is no
expiration on Gift Certificates, nor does the value decrease
over time.
c. Winners should allow at least 8 weeks for approval,
processing, and distribution of payouts/gift certificates.
9 d. Lew’s reserves the right to hold cash payouts/gift
certificates until a W9 is on file for the application. The W9
form can be found at irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/fw9.pdf
10. A Lew’s Speed Fishing Awards member winning a
sanctioned tournament will be awarded the Tournament
Winner Award.
a. All sanctioned events must have a 50 boat minimum.
b. The member will be given the choice of a $200 cash
payout from Lew’s Fishing or a $300 gift certificate for any
Lew’s Fishing product.

11. In a team event , if both Lew’s SFA program members win
the event, only ONE award will be paid per winning team.
a. The Team Event members will be given the choice

12. The Lew’s Big Bass of the Year Award will be determined
after the last sanctioned event in 2017. Only one will be
awarded to the member with the largest bass caught in
overall sanctioned events for the current year.
a. If a member competes in multiple divisions, Lew’s will
only consider the largest bass from all divisions combined.
b. In the event of a tie, Lew’s will revert to the SFA member
with the earliest registration.
c. The Lew’s Big Bass Award will be given a $1,000 gift
certificate good for any Lew’s Fishing products.
d. The gift certificate may only be redeemed exclusively
through Lew’s Fishing.

Q1: Where can I sign up?

employees will email you to complete your registration.
Q2: How do I get paid/receive my gift certificate once I win?
A2: Winners will be verified through the tournament organization.

Q3: What products make me eligible?

Q4: What tournaments are sanctioned and what do they pay?
A4: For 2017 this program is limited to specific tournaments. The full
list can be found at lews.com For a win, a member is eligible for
$200 cash or a $300 Lew’s gift certificate. In a Team Event If both
anglers are Lew’s Speed Fishing Awards members and win the
Team Event Awards tournament, then team members will receive
ONE award per winning team. The wining team has the choice
of receiving a $200 cash payout form Lew's , or receiving a $300
gift certificate to be used on Lew's Products.
Q5: Where do I have to finish to get paid?
A5: Lew’s Speed Fishing Awards members finishing in First Place
in sanctioned events are eligible for payouts. If a Lew’s Speed
Fishing Awards member is participating in a team event and
wins the team is eligible for ONE payout per team.
