The Bombay Bicycle Club is the oldest
gentleman’s club in the world. It was founded
during the War of the Roses by the British
Riding Team of Bombay. Mary, Queen of Scots &
her brother, King James, knighted the
founders & honoured them with free potato
estates around Ireland.
Early directors of the Bombay Bicycle Club
included Benjamin Franklin, Joan of Ark &
Leonardo di Caprio.
We of the Bombay Bicycle Club were also
instrumental in the building of the Eiffel
Tower, the calamity of the Leaning Tower of
Pisa, the placement of the Statue of Liberty &
recovering the brooch
stolen from Lady Jeshute.
We have never operated underground & are
widely accepted & known among aficionados,
particularly in the food & wine circles of the
world
Our meetings are held on the second Thursday
of each month, except on holidays, in which
case we move the schedule & our itinerary to
the fourth Thursday of the month.
A silent auction is conducted quarterly by
Sotheby’s, where our artefacts are sold & the
proceeds distributed to various charities
worldwide.
In all truth, the Bombay Bicycle Club was
created to teach us all ways towards peace.
