Party on Poygan Ice Fishing Contest Rules
1. The tournament is scheduled for January 28, 2017 from 6:00 am until 3:00 pm on Lake
Poygan, Lake Winneconne and Lake Butte Des Morts. Fish must be caught with in these times
and day with in the following boundaries. You may fish all of the upper lakes from the Mouth
of the Wolf River down to the 41 Bridge on Lake Butte Des Morts.
2. All contestants must abide by State of Wisconsin DNR rules and regulations. Any contestant
over the age of 16 years old must hold a valid Wisconsin fishing license.
3. The contest is open to all ages with all participants possessing their own ticket.
4. All contestants must be checked in by 4:00 pm at Critter’s Wolf River Sports weigh in area in
the archery range. Any contestant who has not checked in by 4 pm will forfeit their right to
weigh in their catch.
5. Should inclement weather or ice conditions cause cancellation on January 28, 2017; a random
drawing will be held at 6 pm on the evening of the event. All tickets that were purchased will
be placed into a drum and drawn in succession from first to last place.
6. All contestants MUST weigh in their OWN fish.
7. The entry fee for the tournament is $25.00 per ticket or 5 tickets for $ 100. Tickets will be
available starting January 9th at Critter’s Wolf River Sports and Woodeye’s Bar and Grill in
Winneconne. Tickets sales close at 8 am the day of the event. NO refunds will be given for
any reason.
8. Only one fish can be registered per ticket. Contestants may register as many fish as the legal
daily bag limit allows as long as the contestant has purchased a ticket for each fish being
registered.
9. Only the following fish may be registered for the ice fishing contest: Panfish, White Bass and
Walleye. Walleye must be over 14”! NO Catfish! There is a separate contest for Northern Pike
which contestant must purchase a different ticket for that contest.
10.Contestants are responsible for verification of weight of fish at the time of weigh in and any
discrepancies must be brought to the attention of weigh in staff immediately. Staff and
scales provided by Battle on Bago and any judgements made by them will be final.
11.The Tournament Director is Chris “Critter” Boucher and the Contest Committee (weigh in
staff) shall have the right to verify that fish were caught legally within tournament rules. All
decisions of the Committee are FINAL
12.Cash prizes will be determined by the weight of a single registered fish. In the case of a
duplicate weight, the contestant weighing the fish at the earliest time will hold the top place
for that weight. (ex. 2 fish weighting 2.43 lbs, the earliest fish weighed in takes the higher
place)
13.All cash prizes will be handed out to the winners January 28, 2017 after announcement at
6pm. Need not be present to WIN! Contestants are responsible for any taxes that may be
incurred. All prizes must be claimed by Feb 7, 2016. All unclaimed prizes will be donated to
the American Legion Post 364.
14.Failure to comply with any contest rules, subjects contestants to disqualification and removal
from the competition site, as determined by contest officials. Right to refuse to sell or revoke
a competition ticket to anyone is hereby reserved.
15.All contestants and other bystanders consent to the use of any photographs or likeness of
themselves to be used in the promotion of our contest, including but not limited to print,
radio, or television, etc.
16.All prize amounts are based off the sale of 450 fishing tickets. Prize amounts will be adjusted
accordingly if the ticket sales do not reach or exceed 450. Proceeds of the event will go
toward the American Legion Post 364.
Big Pike Contest Rules
You do not need to purchase a fishing contest ticket to enter the
Big Pike Contest. You may fish both.

3. Each contestant must have their own Northern Ticket and contestants must
catch their own fish legally and abide by all state and local laws.
4. All contestants must weigh in their own fish and be checked in by 4 pm at
Critter’s Wolf River Sports weigh in area in the archery range.
5. Should inclement weather or ice conditions cause cancellation on January 28,
2017; a random drawing will be held at 6 pm on the evening of the event. All

$100 will be drawn.

7. Northen Pike must be a minimum length of 26”. If a fish is brought in that is
less than 26”, the contestant will be disqualified and may be held liable for all
legal penalties for violation of state laws.
8. There will be one winner of $ 1000 for the fish with the heaviest weight. In the
case of a tie, the longest length of the fish will determine the tie breaker.
9. Contestants are responsible for verification of weight of fish at the time of weigh
