Dear Parent/Carer, From time to time we have all needed a little bit

 LIMPSFIELD SCHOOL COMMUNITY SPIRIT SCHEME
Dear Parent/Carer,
From time to time we have all needed a little bit of help, support or advice.
As a school we recognise that there are many different issues affecting
various parents, carers and children, whether it be financial, social, domestic
or learning difficulties.
Particularly, in more recent times, some difficult scenarios have arisen for
members of our own school community.
Limpsfield School has successfully launched the School Community
Spirit Scheme, which has been running for the past few years. This has
proven to have helped various Limpsfield School individuals and families in
various ways and has been incorporated in the School Development plan.
During your child’s time at Limpsfield we would like to be able to offer a
key group of individuals who may be able to help in one way or another.
Over the year we will be sending out information and details of specific
events taking place that may incorporate these values.
Examples of which are:• Additional needs discussion groups/coffee mornings (organised by
Mrs Lloyd). This may cover many topics, with specialist talks, such
as Asthma awareness.
• Contact lists, (which will be kept in the office) of people who can
assist with school transport arrangements in the event of illness, help
with shopping, lift help for children to attend social events etc.
• Resources lists and help with contact to external agencies for
advice/information links.
• Compilation of babysitting/childcare services available locally
(Relatives/recommendations/links to professional organisations)
• Details of outside clubs/agencies – for those new to the area or
looking for specific help locally.
Assistance with sourcing
information for a particular need.
• Financial consideration for families, in order to support their child’s
participation in various events or activities.
This scheme relies on the collaboration between the school & the LSA,
however we are in need of some parental support to sustain such a scheme.
If you feel that you and your family may benefit from any aspects of the
scheme, please contact myself or Sarah, Mrs Baird or a member of the office
staff. Discretion will always be paramount, therefore if it is a particularly
sensitive subject, feel free to come and have a chat to either of us personally
at any time.
In the past we have had a successful emergency car sharing telephone list in
place to help those stuck & unable to get their children to school, due to
illness or other issues. Many people were on the list & many used it. Once
this is set up, if you need to use this facility please do not hesitate to contact
the school office first thing in the morning when help may be needed. (With
your help we hope to have this list set up very very soon.)
As a starting point, if you are interested in getting involved or have any
questions or information for our resource lists, please complete the attached
form and either drop it in the Community Spirit box or email it back to
[email protected]. We appreciate you may have
completed the forms previously, but if possible we would prefer to have new
fresh details for this academic year.
Kind regards,
Jennifer Baird
