RAISE PROJECT COMPLETED GAMES!
After long and hard work, RAISE teams in three differents countries (Turkey, İtaly and Greece),with five
differents pilot groups ( Isparta Gülkent Anatolian High
School, Burdur USO Anatolian High School, Antalya
Trade Bourse and Technique Anatolian High School and
Hızırizci Scouting Club ,School I.C. Sacchetti in San Miniato ,High School of Rafina, Attica )have just finished
their Games!
You may access the English versions of all partners’
games through your mobile devices as uploaded on the
ARIS platform by searching their names or by scanning
the QR code on the “Quest of RAISE” game poster for
Enigmapp in the “Quick access” field!
HOW TO MAKE a RAISE GAME?
To create a RAISE game one should be aware of a sequence of steps
involved in game development. The Toolkit offers the opportunity to
future users to become familiar with some key issues of game design
and offers practical advice for the development of a RAISE game:
• useful tips on how to organise nature conservation activities;
• examples of stories, myths, heroes, history, endemic structure,
animals of the protected areas that can provide the inspiration of a
game scenario;
• examples of games created during the piloting of the RAISE
methodology;
• a step-by-step guide for the creation of a location-based game;
• an introduction to the use of online LBG design platforms;
• an ICT toolkit useful throughout the entire game development
process.

The Little Prince has extinct and active volcanoes and roses on the planet he lives. One day he wants to visit the Earth but in order not to be homesick he decides to visit a place where he can both find roses and volcanoes there. Then he remembers the geographer that he had met on the 6th planet at his previous trips.
So the game starts…
When the Little Prince arrives at the 6th Planet, he finds the old geographer with
his big book on the table. The Little Prince tells the geographer what kind of a
place he wants to go on the earth and asks him for some advice. “You’ve asked a
difficult question” says the geographer. The old man slowly lifts his head from the
book, and says: The answer is Water hides the fire The old Geographer gives the
answer as “Gölcük Nature Park”. And history is continue….

Pilot Group: Burdur USO Anatolian High School
The story begins at the Burdur intercity bus terminal. Touring cycylist ‘Doğa(the Nature)’
comes to burdur to recognize its beautiful lakes and exploring its nature. Doğa sees the clipboard explaining the Tekelioğlu Legend and decides to explore the Burdur Lake. Firstly Doğa
reaches the ‘şeker (sugar)’ beach which is situated on the foothills of the söğüt mountain and
the banks of the burdur lake but şeker the beach with the effect of withdrawal of the lake its
somewhat neglected and dirty. Surrounding wasteburned tires and broken bottles at şeker
beach waken doğa a little upset. Şeker beach is one of most important bay of burdur lake especially for dikkuyruk duck.When scanning the surface of the lake with her binoculars she sees
a bird with vertical tail and big beaks unlike other water birds. Hello says DOĞA to the bird
share hello says to duck and begins to tell its story. my tail is my characteristic trait and its
why name is dikkuyruk(Oxyura leucocephala) we live in the wetlands enviroment around rusia
kazakishtan and when the weather starts to cool down we come to burdur lake to spend the
winter althouth coming of spring why the dikkuyruk still alone in the lake asks doğa “I am stil
alone in burdur lake beacuse ı didnt store enough fat pre-migration says dikkuyruk
we migrate here to store fat pre-migration, beacuse this fat provides us energy we need”..

Hızırizci Scouting Club
The main regions are defined according to the Ancient City’s main locations which
are; Cemetries, House,Gymnasium, Hamam, Temples, Thumbs and Theatre.It is
also included the National Park Info House as a main location. The history is presented part by part as the player reaches into a certain location in
the map or actual travel. Ancient City is archeologically a huge information and
research centre. It is aimed to select the information to describe the locations in
general by giving some interesting informations.
The main character is a Squirrel called Suky. She is responsible for giving information about mostly national park and its creatures.
Another character is Bilge who is an assistant to share information about the History of Ancient City.! Today’s King in our game is King Soloman.!
When the player collects the flag then jumps to the information part, at the end
the player will have chance to win an entrance ticket to the 3 national parks for
free.

Pilot Group: 1E class, School I.C. Sacchetti in San Miniato
FeniCottero (Flamingo) has just arrived from its long migration journey. He stopped in San Miniato and offers to guide the player at the Fucecchio Marshes, the place where he occasionally uses
to stop . Together with the class 1E of the IC Sacchetti school, FeniCottero guides the player in
the Fucecchio marshes, starting from the Visitors’ centre of the protected area. They inform player about the history, the natural peculiarities (vegetal and animal species), besides the traditional works linked to the area.
The player interacts with these virtual characters and others during the game by answering quiz
questions, getting bonus and prizes. These ones, collected in the game inventory, will be useful
for helping the volunteers in the creation of the butterflies’ garden at the visitor centre of the

In the end, answering correctly to the final questions, the player will be rewarded virtually and actually with the certificate of “Naturalist”.

Pilot Group: High School of Rafina
The player follows a path in the broader Rafina area discovering the environmental
challenges while learning about local history and archeology. The player takes on
the role of a famous archaeologist’s assistant, who works on a local excavation
project. The archaeologist, Paul Ioannidis, introduces the player to the local history
beginning with the underground Fortress of Rafina and its significance to the area
during the WW2. The player tries to solve a mystery of signs hidden throughout
the area that might lead to a significant discovery. The first sign leads him to the
Great Rafina Stream, where an environmental expert explains the importance of
the stream to the local ecosystem. Next, the player is led to another sign, taking
him to Marikes beach and a great discovery, through a route scattered with ancient
and more recent artefacts. But then, some suspicious smugglers show up and the
player must prevent them from getting first to a hidden ancient treasure. Will the
young assistant manage to solve the mystery and get to the treasure before the
