This is a safe haven. They offer a residential program, a children’s program, a transition program, Family Court Support Worker Program, as well as community supports and legal advocacy. They provide an individual assessment and treatment for the victim and make themselves available for a professional consultation regarding trauma. -Lanark County Sexual Assault & Domestic Violence Program o Services: This is a program run through the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital at the Smiths Falls site. It provides emergency response to all individuals who fall victim of sexual assault/abuse and domestic violence. Services include emergency medical and nursing care (which is available at all hospital locations in Lanark County), crisis intervention, forensic evidence collection, medical follow-up, and counseling. Outreach support and counseling for individuals, family members and service providers dealing with hearing loss. We also offer Hearing Help Classes for adults 55 and over, with acquired hearing loss. The goal of the classes is to improve communication within families and between friends, and to decrease the frustrations associated with hearing loss. This services provides transportation for those with out of town medical appointments and with individuals who have higher needs there is escorted transportation as well. Lanark Transportation Association – Address:40 Sunset Blvd Suite 126 in Perth Phone number: 613-264-8256 o Services: Lanark Transportation Association (LTA) provides a driver and vehicle for clients who require a means of transportation to medical appointments or other services. They also have wheelchair accessible vehicles available. This service depends on the availability of drivers so it is recommended that you call well in advanced to book with LTA.
