o Services: Counseling and other clinical services are made available through Lanark
County Mental Health to adult victims of sexual abuse or any sort of domestic violence.
They provide an individual assessment and treatment for the victim and make themselves
available for a professional consultation regarding trauma.
-Lanark County Sexual Assault & Domestic Violence Program
o Services: This is a program run through the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital at
the Smiths Falls site. It provides emergency response to all individuals who fall victim of
sexual assault/abuse and domestic violence. Services include emergency medical and
nursing care (which is available at all hospital locations in Lanark County), crisis
intervention, forensic evidence collection, medical follow-up, and counseling.

“The ‘Trouble Fund’ has been established for the purpose of raising money that will be used
for the sole purpose of distributing spay/neuter vouchers to families in need of financial
assistance. LAWS want to ensure that we promote responsible pet ownership and provide
owners with the support they require.
