Presiding Commissioner Findley called the meeting to order at 9:02am

Clerk Owens presented the Deputy Sheriff Salary Supplemental Fund Grant paperwork for review.
Commissioner Regan Nonneman made a motion to approve the minutes and agenda. Commissioner Chevy Davidson
seconded. All in favor, motion carried.
Treasurer Linda Brown presented the weekly financial report.
Pat Kobbe, County EMD: Pat and Jim Fletchall went through the bridges and tubes that were damaged during the flooding
of last week, in case there is FEMA money available to help with the expenses.
Tammy Ueligger: No report
Bid Opening: The commissioners opened bids for mowing. Kobbe Lawn Care submitted a bid for $94.50 per mowing.
Kinsella Lawn Care turned in a bid for $90.00 per mowing. Commissioner Regan Nonneman made a motion to accept
Kinsella Lawn Care’s bid for mowing until the bids are let again. Commissioner Chevy Davidson seconded. All in favor,
motion carried.
Road and Bridge Foreman Jim Fletchall report.
 Discussed some repairs that need to be done after the flooding in the east side of the county.

 Bridge damage-CR 139/185 Ter. , approach washed out, may need new wing wall, extensive bank stabilization, and
may need to put in three dikes to divert water. Will need dirt from local landowners if possible.
 Bridge damage-CR 259/Timber Ln. , 261 100 Ton of rock and grading, bank stabilization.

 Bridge damage-CR 245/125 Rd. 100 Ton of rock, 8 hours grading, may need to build it up.

 Bridge damage-CR 266/115 Rd, silted in, 60 Ton rock, 2 hours grading.

 Bridge damage-CR 265/Valley Ave. 45 Ton of rock, 2 hours grading.

 Tube damage- CR 263/120 Trl. 18”X 40’ tube, 1 load rock, 8 hours dozing, 2 men at 8 hours.

 Tube damage-CR 54/170 Rd. 18”X40’ tube, 1 load rock, 8 hours dozing, 2 men at 8 hours.
 Tube damage-CR 34/Eagle Lane-may require a tube replacement. Needs further inspection
 Tube damage-CR166 spur/ Thistle Ave. Tube needs re-laid. 36”X 60’, 2 loads of rock, hours dozing, 2 men at 8 hours.
 Road damage- CR 174/Union Trl. 3 loads of rock, 2 hours grading.
 Commissioners told Fletchall to take the Dresser 515 loader to Summers Salvage for repairs.
 Discussed having Wieland haul the dirt and rip rap for the projects, so that more can be hauled in a short amount of
time.
 Discussed some surplus property that the county has for sale. Commissioners agreed to taking sealed bids on the items.

They will open the bids on May 13 at 10:00am.

David Baird, County Attorney stopped by to discuss the roof. He has contacted Roy Bash, a lawyer in Kansas City that will
look over our paperwork to see if we have a case again Frasier Roofing for the deficiencies in the roof.
9. Duane Warner stopped by to check on the progress of the new road that is being built north of town, in section 10 of East
Fletchall Township. Clerk Owens explained that she had contact the parties and they made arrangement to pick up the
warranty deeds. The next step would be for Jack Baker and Mashoff’s to trade their land. David Baird offered to help with
their paperwork if they needed him.
10. The commissioner conducted an interview and with Doug Parker for gravel checker. Commissioner Regan Nonneman made
a motion to hire Doug Parker as gravel checker for the 2013 rock season. He will start as soon as Wieland Hauling is ready to
start delivering the rock.
11. Commissioner Nonneman made a motion to adjourn at 12:55p.m. Commissioner Chevy Davidson seconded. All in favor,
motion carried.
