Year 5 Spellings Autumn 1 2014
As part of the New National Curriculum for English, Year 5 and 6
teachers have been given a word list with a mixture of words
children frequently use in their writing and those which they often
misspell. For the next five weeks we will be using these key words as
a basis for our spelling test. After half term we will revert to
learning spellings with specific letter strings and sounds.

The children will need to learn these spellings at home. We have talked
about different ways of learning spellings, and as usual all I ask of the
children is that they try their best each week.
Thank you for your continued support.
