USING YOUSENDIT / HIGHTAIL TO DOWNLOAD AND VIEW YOUR SEGWAY PICTURES
Thank you purchasing the pictures taken during your recent Segway session with us.
Once the pictures have been emailed to customers, we do occasionally get emails from people who are
struggling to download the file and pictures contained within.
This guide has been put together using screenshots and easy to follow instructions, to show you how to
download the picture file to your computer; whereupon you can view/save the pictures contained within the
file.
Please be aware that all computers are different so your screen may look different to that shown below. This
‘how to’ guide has be complied using my PC LAPTOP running Windows 7. However, the principles of how to
download the file should be similar on most computer systems.
PLEASE NOTE/IMPORTANT: in our experience you cannot download these files to Smart Phones or Tablets.
You must download the file to a standard computer/laptop for it to work. Once downloaded you can
transfer individual files to your other media devices.
STEP 1
You should have received an email from YOUSENDIT/HIGHTAIL to the inbox of the email address you gave us.
Please be aware this email sometimes goes into Junk, so if it’s not in your inbox, check your SPAM folder too!
Once you have found the email, open it, and at the bottom you will see a link (seen on the below screenshot
beneth the text: ‘Here’s the link to this file’).
Click this link and your internet browser will take you to the Hightail downlaod page…
STEP 2
Once you have clicked the link on your email, you should see a page like the one below on your internet
browser.
(In this working example the file we are going to download is called: ‘2.zip’ - yours will be called something
different I expect, but the file name will reference the session number you rode in).
In the top right of the screen there is a button that says ‘Download’ with a little arrow thing to the left of the
text. Click this link to download your fil and now go to step 3…
STEP 3
Once you have clicked ‘dowload’, your computer should present you with an option to ‘open’ or ‘save’ the file.
Click the ‘SAVE’ option, then click OK…
PLEASE NOTE – my computer may be different to yours. My computer has a default whereby anyting I
‘download/save’ via the interent is sent to a file called ‘Downloads’ which is located on the ‘C: drive’. If your
computer lets you select a location to save the file to once you click OK, you’ll need to go to that location after
downloading and the file should be there. If like my computer, you’re not given a choice on where to save the
file, you will need to work out where your computer default saves downloads to, as this is where your
downloaded picture file will be.
STEP 4
Having pushed the ‘OK’button, your computer will now download/save the file. On my comuter I know this is
happening as there is now a highlighted GREEN ARROW in the top right of the browser bar and if I hover my
mouse cursor over the green arrow, it says: ‘display the progress of ongoing downloads’ - You can see this in to
the top right of the below screen shot below.
Please refer to the info in Step 3 as to where your computer will save the file if you have not been able to
specify your prefered location before the download began…
STEP 5
Once the file has downloaded (normally your computer will notify you or the green arrow will flash), I am able
to click the green arrow and can see a link to your downloaded file – as shown below in the screen shot below
in the top right of the image.
STEP 6
On my computer, if I click the file being shown in the recent downloads section (as pictured on the screen shot
above in step 5) the computer opens up the location where my file has been downloaded to. On this/my
computer, it has been downloaded to the ‘C: Drive’ and into a file called ‘Downloads’.
You can see the picture file located in the ‘Downloads’ file in the below screenshot:
STEP 7
Once the file has been downloaded to your computers hard drive, my personal preference is to ‘drag and drop’
the file from its saved location and onto your computers desktop, where it is easy to see/access/check.
On the below screen shot, you can see me dragging the file from the C: Drive/Downloads folder, into an empty
bit of space on my desktop, just below the Microsoft Word icon.
STEP 8
You can now see the file on my desktop (underneath the Microsoft Word icon – middle-left of the screen shot
below).
Now the file is on the desktop, you can double click it to open and view the pictures contained within the file.
You will have a copy of every picture taken in the session you rode in; this being the case, we advise you delete
the ones that aren’t of you or your party.
All our pictures are sent in a JPEG format, which is a universal picture file image on all computers, so you can
easily email images, or upload them to social media etc.
OVERVIEW
As noted above, this guide is a genric ‘how to download the picture files’ and your personal computer may be
different to mine as you might be on a Mac or running an earlier/later version of Windows… I am unable to
give a guide on how to download the file on every single computer variant out there, as I simply don’t know;
but as most computers are pretty similar when it comes to downloading internet files, the instructions above
should help you to navigate the download on your machine.
As per page 1, as far as I know you cannot download this FILE onto a tablet or smart phone, you must
download it to a computer/laptop.

have been using this paid for YOUSENDIT/Hightail system for over 3-years with very few issues and have sent
out many thosands of picture files which have been successfully downloaded by customers, so we know it
works. If you are still having issues, let us know, but it could well be a problem your end and not with the file
itself.
