SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT....When you purchase a puppy or rescue a dog, you will probably have him or her as part
of your family for approximately 15 years....so why not start out right and have him professionally trained.
If you think about it, you send you child to school, so doesn't it make sense to send your dog to school, and lay the ground
work early? It's never too later to start training. We recommend starting puppies in training between 3 1/2 to 4 months of
age. The time to train your dog is now.
All of our training is guaranteed for as long as you own your dog. Give us a call and we will be happy to explain the program
and send you our brochure.
Take a moment to browse through our website. Feel free to call us at (732) 938-5040 for a personal consultation or visit
and inspect our facility in person. We look forward to working with your dog and you.

Licenses
Dear Consumer:
New Jersey is one of the few states that does not require any type of licensing or certification for Professional
Dog Trainer/Behaviorist. I have been in contact with the Governor's office in an effort to get legislation passed
that would license Dog Trainers after a review and examination of his/her credentials and qualifications. Until
that legislation is passed, there is no way to protect the consumer from unqualified individuals in this field. I
would like to take this opportunity to inform you of my qualifications.
I have been a Professional Dog Trainer/Behaviorist for the past 40 years. I apprenticed under some of the top
dog handlers in both The United States and Europe. My education includes studies with The United States

I will continue my efforts to make certification of Professional Dog Trainer/Behaviorist mandatory in the State of
New Jersey. Please contact the Governor's office to voice your opinion on the need for legislation (Reference:

You proved once again that Rascal, Max and Digger
were not the problem - it was their owner who needed
training! Thanks for your patience and on-going support.
My "kids" are better for it!

I want to thank you so much for the time and effort you put into the training sessions for my golden retriever, Bear.
Of course, you also spent time training me on how to handle bear properly. Now that Bear understands what is
required of him and I understand what is required of me, we can enjoy our relationship much more. Once again
thanks for your expertise and hard work

We feel that your course was unquestionably the best thing we could have done for ourselves and our dog. We can
thank you for the fact that we now have a quiet, calm dog that is welcome almost everywhere.

If you are struggling with your pet's behavior, or just planning a vacation, our program will give
you the breather you need, followed by a fresh start.
We offer an in-board training program. Your pet will stay with us at the school for two weeks,
much like sending your child away to camp in the summer. While your dog is with us he or she
will be taught to calm down and relax around distractions.
For example, your dog should be able to remain seated even if distracted by the presence of
another animal. Proper manners are taught, such as "heel","sit","stay","down", "come", and the
word "no". We also concentrate on any behavior problems we find such as play biting, mouthing
and jumping.
At the end of a two week program, we train the owner(s) and dog, together as a team. This
usually takes about an hour. All training is done on a leash and it's all guaranteed. By
guaranteed, we mean if you ever have a problem with your dog's training, whether it's three
months or three years from the time you pick him or her up. Just call us and we'll be happy to help you correct the problem.
The only things we don't guarantee are the following: that your dog won't go to the bathroom on the floor, he or she won't
chew, and that he or she won't bite anybody.
Our program also includes our training video "Beginning Obedience" which is yours to keep. "High School" and "College"
programs are also available.

Dog's Point of View
Learn to think like a dog. Your dog doesn't think of you as a human, he
thinks of you as another dog. Dogs evolved from wolves, thus they are
pack animals. Since your dog thinks of your family as his pack, he
doesn't understand or expect equality. So it is natural for him to push
to the highest position he can attain in his pack (your family). In nature,
there are no two dogs/wolves/persons in the same pack that are
equal.
An over-indulged dog may assume a dominant role in the household.
And the dog which is confused about its position in the hierarchy (one
day he's "top dog" and the next he's "low dog on the totem pole") will
become frustrated. Then the owners must deal with another problem that of frustration-aggression.
It's More Important to Praise Your Dog When He's Right,
Than it is to Correct Him When He's Wrong
