The journey has been with a lot of challenges expected
in such a embarkment, much has been gained and much
is still desired. In 2014 the country witnessed political
upheaval seeing loss of life, thousands displaced,
livelihoods destroyed. Still the citizen’s resilience is
strong and the homeland peace and stability has driven
the hope this far.
VSF G, has witnessed this journey since 1997, has
witnessed communities over come enormous challenges
and rebound back to hope! VSF G has continued
supporting the communities to enhance their capacities
to protect community’s livelihood assets especially those
where livestock is the base to household food security.
VSF G continues to program its interventions under
emergency conditions especially Greater Upper Nile
States which include emergency animal health activities
(CAHWs trainings, treatments and vaccinations including
small stock and cold chain support), food distributions
(cereals and animal products – meat and milk).
