So, learn its meaning and the following words. 6. transportation 7. transform 8. transport 9. transplant 10. transit Part 3: Content Vocabulary 11. light 12. electricity 13. sound 14. motion 15. chemical Bonus Words 16. summit 17. façade Nightly Homework: Monday: Look up words #25 in the dictionary. Write the word, part of speech, and the best definition you find on lined paper. Include the root word. We will write the definitions of these words on your note card in class. Tuesday: Write words #6-10, divide into syllables. Use www.wordcentral.com Finally, look for “words within words.” Try for at least 2. Wednesday: Write a meaningful sentence (SHOWING an example of using the word) for each word, #11-15. For help, refer to sheet in your binder to see examples. Thursday: STUDY! Use a “Key Sheet.” You will be responsible for correct spelling, the Greek-Latin root word, plus the meaning of 1 other word of your teacher’s choice of words 2-5.
