Ian Hunter, from our parish, and St Vincent de Paul wishes to pass on his thanks for such a wonderful food collection. The quantity on their shelves is now well stocked and the range of goods covers all the areas for those in need. Thank you once again to our school community for your generous donations. There would have been some tired students last night after an action packed day of wheels and the annual Tough Kids Challenge. The Year 1 - 2 students were all eager for the seniors to leave today so they could have the school to themselves for their scooters and bikes. I am sure they all had a fantastic time. The annual Tough Kids Challenge was another huge success. We are so lucky to be able to put all of our Year 3 - 8 students on buses to attend this event and the wonderful wave of green is hard to miss! It is a great way to get the students (and staff) out of their comfort zones and enjoy the end of term together. Weekly Newsletter: Term 1 Week 8 Pg.1, Thursday 1st December 2016 StPatrick'sBryndwr PCT Challenge - Police Competency Training Challenge Congratulations to our Year 8 students Izzy Gibson, Annabel Connell, Will Griffiths and Charlie Morrison. They spent last weekend with Mr Brown in Wellington competing in the PCT Challenge with other regional winners from across the country. The Bluelight Police Competency Training Challenge is a tough obstacle course. Teams of four must work as a team to navigate the course, lift, carry, climb, balance, run and overcome a range of obstacles. Our students should be very proud of their amazing effort. They finished in the top 10 out of over 30 teams from throughout New Zealand! Parent-Teacher Interviews - Wednesday 7th December An email was sent out last week informing you that we will be holding Parent-Teacher Interviews on Wednesday 7th December. Time slots are already filling up fast! School will finish at 12:30pm. The reason for closing the school early is to allow us to get through all the interviews in one day. We would appreciate it if you were able to collect your child/children at 12:30pm so that the Parent-Teacher Interviews can begin at 1:30pm. For those parents and caregivers who are unable to collect their children due to work commitments, we will be arranging supervision in the afternoon until 3pm for any remaining children. The 2016 Parent-Teacher Interviews will give you an opportunity to discuss your child’s learning and social needs in a more formal setting.
