MEDICAL OFFICE FOR EC MEDICAL STUDENTS OF THE THIRD MEDICAL FACULTY BASIC INFORMATION WHO? Medical office is provided by Dr. Pavel ŠKRHA with the assistance of nurse Dana Zíková. WHERE? Medical office is situated in the University Hospital, building N, ground floor, room No. 120. Please knock on the door and wait until the nurse invites you in. WHEN? Medical office is open every Thursday from 1 to 3 PM. We are open for all EC medical students during the office hours, therefore no advance booking either via e-mail or phone is needed. Please check your e-mail for unexpected closures prior planned visit of Medical office. In case of inability to visit the Medical office during the official opening hours, you can visit the Emergency Room (CPIK – Pohotovost) situated on the building S, ground floor. CPIK is open daily for 24 hours, weekends and public holidays including. DOCUMENTS AND FEES All students must provide valid ID card, European (or Czech) insurance card (blue card) and ISIC. If insurance is invalid, medical services will be paid in cash. 30 CZK ticket is needed only in special cases (EC and EEC citizens). You will be asked to buy it accordingly. HEALTH CERTIFICATE AND IMMUNIZATION FORM FOR MEDICAL AND PREMEDICAL STUDENTS Health certificate will be filled in with student’s health history and findings on basic physical examination. Laboratory tests (if necessary – urine and serum lipids) will be planned on the next meeting in the Medical office where it will be completed. In order to complete the immunization form, the vaccination diary with signed performed vaccination is needed (ask your G.P. in the home country). If student does not own this diary, test of specific antibodies or revaccination will be necessary. This may take at least 2 weeks. Vaccination against hepatitis B is provided in the Medical office, all others should be consulted in the Vaccination center of FNKV. Referral letter will be provided to all students after consultation in the Medical office. TB skin test is provided by the pneumology department of Poliklinika Malešice (Plaňanská 573/1, 108 00 - Prague 10, phone number +420 281 019 243) situated in the basement. MRSA SCREENING AND LABORATORY TESTS MRSA screening is provided only upon personal request in Medical office. Requests are being sent electronically to the Central Laboratory. Test itself is planned on mornings (7:30 AM) on the very next day, results may take 5-7 days. Laboratory tests are provided only upon personal request in the Medical office. Results will be communicated only personally in the Medical office. Providing the results via e-mail or phone is no longer possible.
