Standard sensing needle is 140mm long (optional 200mm). Set the needle to contact the tool at a suitable point e.g. on drills 1.6mm past the drill point chamfer. Like the PC100 there is no miniature reversing gear box due to the fact there is no encoder which improves reliability and service life. The PCS sensors are easily installed, simply requiring a 24v DC power supply and a spare machine M function or an existing sensor / alarm circuit. Alternatively an additional stand alone circuit can be created and 110-240V AC input power to 24v dc converters can also be supplied.
