course overview

Overview
Science
Yoga’s journey to the west created a new wave of scientific interest in the
ancient practice. Throughout the course, we bridge the gap between both
the eastern and western modalities, illuminating the point at which science
and tradition meet. In addition we breakdown the anatomy of over 60
individual yoga poses, their variations, and how to modify using props and
hands-on adjustments.
Philosophy
Yoga dates back more then 5,000 years. For much of that time, the
practice looked to answer the great philosophical question, “Who am I”?
Today, the history of the past gives us a detailed and sophisticated system
for exploring and answering this question. We will utilize this system to
cultivate a deeper understanding of self, stabilize the mind, and gain
greater insight into our thoughts, feelings and emotions.
Art
The art of teaching yoga comes from the skillful blending of both the
science and philosophy of the practice. Learning to “see” the entire room,
make on the fly adjustments to your sequence, and be a part of the flow,
rather then just teaching it, is what makes the difference between a good
class and a great one.
MOSAIC’s teacher training program offers you more than a simple certification as a yoga instructor.
Our program takes you deeper as it’s purposefully designed to promote personal growth, inner
knowing and self-examination. As a result, you not only become a better yoga instructor, but also a
more evolved human being. Schedule
