We hope all your children had a lovely time meeting Anna, Elsa and Olaf! Figures are yet to be confirmed but it looks like we made approx. £1700 for pre-school! The committee would like to thank everyone who donated cakes, raffle prizes, books, teddies etc…. and a special thank you to those who gave up their time to help on the TOPICS FOR NEXT TERM Over the course of the year our children will be learning about various topics. Over the next half term the children will be looking at “Colours”. We are always delighted when parents/ carers are able to come in and share a hidden talent or contribute to our topic work. SOUNDS OF THE W EEK Our sounds of the week for the first half of next term will be W/C - 11th April - A W/C - 18th April – T W/C - 25th April - I W/C - 3rd May - P W/C – 9th May - N W/C – 16th May – C/K W/C 23rd May - E Children are invited to bring in items beginning with the letter of the week to show at circle time. We would be grateful if you could restrict bringing in other toys as time does not allow us to show them during the day. CHILDREN’S BAGS Please can all parents remember to supply a change of clothes for their child. They may be toilet trained but could get wet whilst playing or have an accident at meal times. There are often a lot of messages each day & the Communication book helps to ensure that nothing is forgotten. require a parent or carer to stay for the session and then depart so that pre-school can continue as normal. For on-going information we have a Noticeboard in the main hall. Copies of the newsletter will be posted there together with a copy of the weekly plan, messages and suggestions of things to try at home. Please try to check the noticeboard regularly. We also have a Suggestions Box for all parents to use. It is situated in the lobby. All suggestions are welcome and will be raised at the Pre-School Committee Meetings, which are held each month. Book bag notes will also be issued as reminders to some upcoming activities. PRE-SCHOOL COMMITTEE Beckington Pre-School is a charity and as such is run by a committee of volunteers, we rely on you as parents to help us in both organising and supporting the events that help raise funds for the pre-school. Without these volunteers and the money that we raise pre-school would not be able to operate. If you would like to join the committee and be more involved with the running of the preschool please speak to Julie or Nicole. If it is not their usual pre-school day they will however SAINSBURYS ACTIVE KIDS VOUCHERS We are collecting Sainsbury’s Active Kids Vouchers again this year, so please bring them in and put them in the collection box. FACEBOOK Pre-school has a private facebook group for parents and the committee, it is a great way to communicate between us all on a private forum. If you are not currently a member but would like to be please see Nicole or Laura. UNIFORM Anyone wishing to purchase uniform please speak to Julie.
