CONSTRUCTION ADVISORY LA BREA AVENUE STREETSCAPE PROJECT La Brea Avenue between Romaine Street and Fountain Avenue The City of West Hollywood has contracted with STL Landscape, Inc., to construct the long awaited La Brea Avenue Streetscape Project. The improvements will be constructed on La Brea Avenue within the boundaries of City of West Hollywood, beginning from Romaine Street to Fountain Avenue. The La Brea Avenue Streetscape project includes the construction of planted tree wells/parkways, street trees, landscaped medians, and pedestrian street lighting along La Brea Avenue. The concept is to bring the streetscape enhancements installed on Santa Monica Boulevard to the rest of La Brea Avenue. Therefore the trees and blue pedestrian street lights that is seen on Santa Monica Blvd, will match what is installed on La Brea Avenue. No work will be done at the West Hollywood Gateway Center’s frontage on La Brea Avenue since that was done with the construction of the center. As with any major improvement work, the construction will bring some level of discomfort to the immediate properties along La Brea Avenue. There will be periodic lane closures on La Brea Ave between the hours of 9:00 am to 4:00 pm as needed from Monday-Friday; however, at least one lane of traffic will remain open in each direction at all times. The City of West Hollywood has hired RBF Consulting to provide construction management/inspection for the project and they will be sure that every effort will be made to allow access and safe passage while minimizing the impact to the businesses. It is expected that all businesses can operate as per their normal schedule, however it is advised to let your customers know that due to construction to plan for traffic delays in the area. All noise and dust pollution will be monitored and controlled per all related agency requirements. Work Hours: Mondays – Fridays, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Contractor: STL Landscape, Inc.
