NOTES OF IMPORTANCE
STELLA AND DOT, BEAUTYCOUNTER, AND SCENTSY SHOPPING SPREE - St. James Moms-Tiffany Batchelor,
Kitti Jones, Katie Urban, and Carrie Stice and will be hosting a Trunk and Style show at the home of Galen
Hoffstadt (633 Brock Drive) this Thursday from 6 – 8 pm. Tiffany Batchelor will be hosting a trunk show with
the beautiful products from Stella and Dot. Katie Urban and Kitti Jones will be demonstrating the amazing
skincare, makeup, body care, kids care, and baby care products from Beautycounter! Carrie Stice will be
offering all Scentsy Products. All of these moms will be donating the “free gifts” to the Spring Fling.
Refreshments and hors d’oeuvres will be served. For more information, please contact the main office. A
special thanks to these ladies for their support of St. James.
SAVE THE DATE FOR SPRING FLING – St. James is celebrating our 70th Birthday at our 2017 Spring Fling, on
Friday, March 31st at the Corpus Christi Country Club. Our Spring Fling is a major annual fundraiser for our
school and an evening filled with celebration and fun! Attached to this e-mail you will find an Auction Letter
and Auction Form for donors of auction items. Please help us by gathering auction items. Please turn them
in to the School Office along with the completed Auction form. Also attached, you will find a Sponsorship
Form and a Sponsorship Letter with information for purchasing individual tickets, tables, and making
donations. Spring Fling invitations are being mailed today. We look forward to sharing the evening with you!
PENNY WARS BEGIN FOR MOLLY MEARES’ CONFIRMATION PROJECT- Please help Molly Meares for her
Confirmation Service Project. Molly is raising money for The Box Project to buy lovies for the newborn
babies. To make the fund raising fun, we will be having Penny Wars starting tomorrow Wednesday, March 1
through Friday, March 10th! Here is the challenge! The object of the competition is to have the LEAST
amount of money in your grade level’s jar. You have to put your money in other grades’ jars. Once money is
in your jar, you HAVE to leave it there; you can't take money out of the jars. The grade with the least
money wins. The grade level in each division with the LEAST amount of money in their bucket wins a
morning of kolaches and doughnuts! Please help Molly reach her goal of raising enough money to provide
200 lovies to 200 newborn babies in our community. On your mark, get set, Go!

SPRING PICTURES, FRIDAY, MARCH 3RD – All scholars may wear spring attire on Friday, March 3rd to take
individual spring photos. Eighth graders will dress in formal attire to take individual and group photos.
Picture proofs and order forms will be sent home with the scholars the following week.
PUTTING ON THE RITZ~TEXAS GLITZ!-LADIES NIGHT OUT- YeeHaw! Ladies! This one’s for you!
Our husbands play golf, go fishing and hunting, and when do you take time for YOU??!! You deserve a break!
Kristen Dreyer, Nancy Harwell, and I will be catering to you on Friday, May 12th from 7:00-10:00 at 633 Brock
Drive! It will be an evening of fun, food, and friends sharing lots of laughter and love! We promise you will
be waited on all evening! This evening is limited to 60 people and the cost is $100 per person.
We are handling sign up for this event (and class books) differently this year. You can sign up anytime
between now and Spring Fling in the School Office. You will also be able to sign up until the close of the
Silent Auction on the evening of Spring Fling! Remember, all proceeds benefit St. James! Sign up early!
FABULOUS CLASS BOOKS! – Each year one of the fabulous items sold for Spring Fling are our Class Books!
These books are made by our classroom teachers, with the help of Christy Huebner! They feature every one
of our scholars in a special way! They are truly a beautiful keepsake of your child’s year! The cost of each
book is $100 and all of the proceeds benefit St. James! We are handling sign up for the class books (and
Ladies Night Out) differently this year. You can sign up to buy your scholar’s books anytime between now
and Spring Fling in the School Office. You will also be able to sign up for the books until the close of the
Silent Auction on the evening of Spring Fling! Examples of last year’s books will be in the Office next week.

RE-ENROLLMENT/LETTER OF INTENT
Please remember that re-enrollment is exclusively open to current St. James scholars (and siblings) until
March 31ST to guarantee your spot at St. James. Starting April 1st enrollment will be open to the public and
scholars will be placed in the order that enrollment funds are received. Your letter of intent and deposit
will hold your space at St. James next year. Also, if you know you are moving and will not be attending St.
James next year, please send an email to Nicole or me so we can better prepare knowing reasonable
numbers. Letters of intent received after March 31st will be charged a $250 late fee that is not part of your
tuition. Letters of intent received after April 30th will be charged a $500 late fee that is not part of your
tuition. Letters of intent are crucial to our planning for staffing for 2017-2018. Letters of intent for siblings
not already enrolled need to be accompanied by an application (and the one-time $50 application fee).

Happy Ash Wednesday! It was good to see so many of you in Chapel today for the Ash Wednesday
blessing. You are always welcome at our All-School Chapel which is normally scheduled every
Thursday at 8:10. Many of our parents join us on a regular basis!
Thank you so much to all of you for really trying to get to school on time! Your diligence is paying off
and that sends a very important message to our scholars. Please help us by continuing to make sure
your scholars are in Dress Code and look neat and tidy. They are our message into the community in
the grocery store, at church, and wherever else you stop off on the way home! WE appreciate you!
