Third grade students and staff at Milton East
Elementary took a fun, integrated learning project
in persuasive writing and turned it into a very
large donation to the Humane Society of Southern
Wisconsin.
Students wrote persuasive letters that were used
to solicit donations, resulting in more than $1,500
worth of donations to the Humane Society in
March.

Congratulations to all our Northside Intermediate

own picture books as a part of Delta Kappa's
Literary Competition. Northside had three
winners in the regional school district competition.
All winners have been invited to celebrate their
achievements and receive a trophy at a reception
to be held in May. The students who placed 1st,
2nd, or 3rd will also receive a cash prize.
Congratulations to Northside's winning students
and all our students who improved their writing
skills during the contest.
MHS Students Learn About
Financial Literacy and Life at
"Reality Check"
On March 8, 2016, several hundred high school
students from Milton and Edgerton participated in
an interactive learning experience at MHS known
as "Reality Check". Thank you to all our local
businesses, citizen volunteers, and staff who
helped students to gain more knowledge about
financial literacy and managing money in a fun,
life-like learning experience.
FUN FACT OF THE WEEK
Who has the Region's Only K-12
1:1 Technology Program?
ANSWER: Milton!
At the very heart of the quality educational
experiences we offer students in Milton are our
amazing teachers and support staff and the
relationships they build with our students and
parents. To support their work, we are proud to
have the region's only K-12, 1:1 technology
program.
At their last meeting, the Board of Education
renewed the lease with Apple for the 1:1
technology program. This lease will provide all
students with new iPads or laptops for the 20162017 school year. This great news comes at no
additional expense to taxpayers, as the lease
renewal maintains the same lease payment we
budget for annually in our existing budget.
