There were many excited children
on Friday morning as we headed off
on our Magic School bus
adventures. We travelled down the
back blocks of Waterholes Road and
came upon a property owned by
Michael Fontana. The children were
delighted to hear they were going to
play a game of tyre bowling! After
a wander around the property the
children enjoyed some morning tea
around the campfire. We then began
our game which was won by Dave!
We ended the wish with lunch
around the campfire, a tour of
Michael’s house and the toasting of
some marshmallows. Lots of fun
was had by all. Thanks heaps for
having us Michael! Once again a
big thankyou to Uniting care for the
use of the bus.
WINTER SPORTS
Despite the nasty weather last
Monday, our senior school managed
to complete their games of soccer,
netball, t-ball and footy. Thanks
Dave for supporting the students.
Winter sports is another opportunity
for our children to socialise with
other children in our network.
Congratulations to Hayley for
receiving a Bronze certificate from
Mathletics. Hayley was very proud of
herself! Well done Hayley.
This week we welcome back Jill from
Japan. We look forward to hearing all
about her overseas experience. I am
proud to say that the vegetable garden is
alive and well. Well done team.
‘Come and Play’
On Thursday morning we will have our
first Come and Play introductory
session for kinder kids. The children
will spend a couple of hours in the little
class.
TUCKSHOP & FANG
Both Friday Fang and Tuckshop will
operate again this week. A small
amount of money is needed for
Tuckshop. Orders in before Thursday
for Friday Fang. Thankyou.
DELICIOUS CONTRIBUTIONS
Well done to those grade 5 students
who brought along some homemade
items to sell at Tuckshop. They
certainly were a big hit!!

coded as an unexplained absence if we
do not receive a note from the parents.

am more than happy to pop into town to
pick up your child for school. My

returned to school as soon as
possible. Children are to wear
school uniform and appropriate

efforts in selling tickets for the
firewood raffle. If you haven’t
already done so, please ensure tickets and

RECIPES
Thank you to the recipes you are sharing
for our Family Favourites Recipe book.
Keep sending them in to Dave.
All the children has a great time on the
Magic Bus Trip to Michael's house on
Friday! Thanks Michael for your
hospitality.
It seemed a short week by the children
worked hard on "ou" sounds and did
maths assessment with multiplication and
division. We looked at homophones,
words that are spoken the same but have
different spellings and meanings, and we
are learning about
antonyms (opposites) this
week.
Please send warm jackets
for the chilly weather and
please keep reading with
your child at home.
Thank you!
Kat
A shortened week in the big class
with school sports on Monday, report
writing on Thursday and Friday wish
taking up most of Friday.
We used the limited time in our
literacy to catch up on soundwaves,
apply our knowledge of antonyms and
publish some writing pieces. While
numeracy saw us consolidating our
knowledge on division. Huge thanks
to Michael, tyre bowling was
awesome!!! Quick reminder to get
those recipes in, so we can start
publishing the cookbook. Hope
everyone enjoyed the break and is
ready to finish the term off with a
BANG!!!
Dave.
