We travelled down the back blocks of Waterholes Road and came upon a property owned by Michael Fontana. The children were delighted to hear they were going to play a game of tyre bowling! After a wander around the property the children enjoyed some morning tea around the campfire. We then began our game which was won by Dave! We ended the wish with lunch around the campfire, a tour of Michael’s house and the toasting of some marshmallows. Lots of fun was had by all. Thanks heaps for having us Michael! Once again a big thankyou to Uniting care for the use of the bus. Keep sending them in to Dave. All the children has a great time on the Magic Bus Trip to Michael's house on Friday! Thanks Michael for your hospitality. It seemed a short week by the children worked hard on "ou" sounds and did maths assessment with multiplication and division. We looked at homophones, words that are spoken the same but have different spellings and meanings, and we are learning about antonyms (opposites) this week. Please send warm jackets for the chilly weather and please keep reading with your child at home. Thank you! Kat A shortened week in the big class with school sports on Monday, report writing on Thursday and Friday wish taking up most of Friday. We used the limited time in our literacy to catch up on soundwaves, apply our knowledge of antonyms and publish some writing pieces. While numeracy saw us consolidating our knowledge on division.
