prayer that she wrote for the recently published book, Seeking
the One Whom We Love: How RSCJs Pray.
“A walk winds up being my most focused and intimate prayer
time…particularly near bodies of water everywhere, and I ask
various of my friends and holy ones on the other side to care
for family, friends, those for whom I have promised prayer.
No one has ever dropped off my list, so it is quite long! In this
gift of time, I am profoundly aware of e e cummings’s phrase,
that at every moment ‘i carry your heart with me
(i carry it in my heart)…’”

around our property and I sing Taizé and other refrains.
One refrain…was taught by Sister Gerardette Philips,
an Indian RSCJ:
