Find out the religious make up of people in your local area (within 3 mile radius). Do not assume that you know what religion people are. A good
way of finding out is to use the internet http://localstats.co.uk/ or you could look around where you live and make a note of how many different
religious buildings there are.

Compare and Contrast Task:
Group work
• Each table has information about one religion.
Read through the information and make some
notes in your book about that religion.
• Split the task between you e.g. one person
could make a note about the religious beliefs
and another person could make a note on the
history of the religion. (you have five minutes
to complete this activity)
• You must then move around the room and
read the information about the other religions
how are they similar? How are they different.
(you have 15 minutes 3 minutes per religion)
• Report back to your group and collate your
information
• Your group must then report back to the rest of
the class.
• Complete the ‘How we worked as a team’
sheet

Task
You have been asked to plan an interfaith week activity (it can be one activity or it can be different
activities) Create a poster advertising the event. Use the information sheet and the web page
