TEAMS AND SCHEDULE ANNOUNCED FOR THE INAUGURAL MEN AGAINST BREAST
CANCER CLASSIC HOSTED AT KENT STATE UNIVERSITY
KENT, OH (August 6, 2014) – Russ Potts Productions, Inc., in conjunction with Men Against Breast
Cancer and Kent State University announced today the matchups and schedule for the Inaugural 2014
Men Against Breast Cancer Classic at Kent State University. Teams competing in the 2014 MABC Classic
include Kent State, Malone University, Yale, Newbury College, University of Illinois-Chicago (UIC), St.
Xavier University, Southern Illinois University (SIU) and Olivet Nazarene University.
“We’re extremely excited for Kent State to host our Inaugural 2014 Men Against Breast Cancer Classic,”
said Senior Vice President of Russ Potts Productions, Inc. Zach Franz. “We’d like to thank Kent State
Athletics, Coach Senderoff and all of our participating teams for their involvement in our event and
support of this tremendous organization.”
Kent State, SIU, UIC and Yale will serve as the four hosts of opening round games for the inaugural
MABC Classic. Each team will play one game on campus beginning on November 17th.
The four teams will then converge on the M.A.C. Center in Kent, Ohio for the round robin portion of the
MABC Classic from November 21st-23rd. Each day will feature doubleheader competition.
"It is an honor to have the opportunity to host the first ever Men Against Breast Cancer Classic at Kent
State,” head coach Rob Senderoff said. “Men Against Breast Cancer provides a great support system for
men who are helping a loved one battle the disease, and it is truly a privilege to partner with this
organization. We served as a subregional host for Coaches vs. Cancer last season, and hosting the
inaugural MABC Classic is a great way for our program to continue the fight against cancer.”

Kent State enters the 2014-15 season with several key players returning from last year’s team that
finished with a 16-16 record. Led by All-Mid-American Conference honorable mention guard Kris
Brewer, the Golden Flashes return their top three scorers from the previous season for the first time
since the 1999-00 season.
