Tuesday, March 21, 2017 Day 5 Order 3 Attention seniors – today is the last day to turn in Grad Bash money. Your $80 check is due to Mrs. Collazo by 2:45 today to ensure your spot on the bus. Any questions, see Mrs. Collazo in room 404. The Special Olympics will be hosting its Summer Games this Saturday at Jesuit. Interested volunteers can sign up via the link located on the community service web page. If the volunteer activity you are interested in is full please show up on Saturday morning at 7:30 and you can still find work. The GFWC Tampa Woman's Club is in need of volunteers for its annual fundraiser dinner on April 8th from 5:30-10:00 pm. Interested volunteers should check the X2Vol bulletin board for further information. The Masque’s spring production of the dark comedy, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead opens next week. Tickets are $5 for Jesuit students and $10 for general admission. Performances are March 30th through April 1 at 7:30, plus a 1:00 performance on April 1. Electronic ticket sales will begin soon. See Mr. Miller for details. There will be a Bowling Team Meeting in the Library after school tomorrow for all returning bowlers or for students who are interested in joining. Monday, March 20, 2017 Day 4 Order 1 Attention all seniors who will be attending either the silent retreat or the father/son retreat this week – please remain in the gym after convocation. Attention seniors –tomorrow is the last day to turn in money to Mrs. Collazo for Grad Bash. Your $80 check and permission slip reserve your seat on the bus. There will be a Bowling Team Meeting for all returning bowlers in the Library after school on Wednesday. Anyone who is interested in joining the team for next year may also attend. Over the break the Masque competed in the Florida State Thespians Festival. Lucas Pasquier and George Morgan received an Excellent for their duet acting scene, as did Alex Peña and Jack Mahoney. Morgan also received an Excellent for his monologue performance, and Noah Armenia, JP Menendez, and Riley Buchanan brought home an Excellent for their ensemble acting performance. Congratulations, Masque! On Saturday JV Baseball defeated IMG 6-2. Josh Mallitz, Turner Thompson, Anthony Altieri, Justin Clark, & Connor Strady pitched the Tigers to victory &and George Andersen led the Tiger offense with 2 RBIs. The team hosts Tampa Catholic on Friday at 6:00. Good luck JV Baseball! Over the break Varsity Lacrosse defeated Plant 7-6 and First Academy 15-7. Versus Plant Jake Lemon led the Tiger offense with a hat-trick. Ryan Cox, Joe McGonnigal and Cade Myers also scored. The Tiger defense was led by Will Sands’ 9-save performance. Against First Academy, Joe McGonnigal scored 4 goals. Casey Fuss, Ryan Cox, Luke Royak, Brad Baker, Arik Jahnke, Tucker Gray and Ian Knott also scored. The team plays Robinson High School tomorrow night at 7:00. Congratulations and good luck Tiger Lacrosse! Over the break Varsity Baseball went 6-0 to win the prestigious Tony Saladino Tournament for the 2nd time in school history. The Tigers defeated Sickles, Lennard, and Gaither to win their pool. They then defeated Steinbrenner in the quarterfinals, CDS in the semifinals, and Alonso in the championship game. Jake Jones, Duncan Hunter, and Price Sartor made the all-tournament team and Jeff Hakanson was named the tournament's most valuable player. McGwire Weaver, Joel Brewer, Alex Mocny, Kyle Koncal, and Garrett Sheppard, who hit the go ahead HR in the top of the 7th in the championship game, also had big weeks. The Tigers are now 11-1 on the year and return to action tomorrow night at home against Jefferson in a big district game. First pitch is set for 7:00. Congrats Varsity Baseball!
