THE HOLIDAY PERIOD
To alleviate some parking challenges during this busy time,
we have added several options to make getting to and from
The Cloister and the Beach Club easier.
Friday, June 30–Wednesday, July 5
Parking on Sea Island—
• Will be available in the Beach Club upper and lower decks and
tennis courts at The Cloister.
• Once the decks are full, parking will be available at The Inn
at Sea Island on Sea Island Road just west of Island Cinemas.
Shuttles will go to and from the Beach Club on a continuous
basis.
• Parking will not be permitted on the Sea Island Causeway.
For Cottage Guests and Sea Island residents—
Transportation will run between the Beach Club and
56th Street on Sea Island.

Saturday, July 1
Cookie Cutters at Sea Island Kids, 3:30–4:30 p.m. and
5–6 p.m.––Calling all chefs in training! Join the Activities staff
for a fun-filled hour when our Kids Café is transformed into
a junior bakery. Create and decorate your own sugar cookies
along with making other sweet treats to take home. $45/child.

Saturday Seafood Sensation at Davis Love Grill featuring the
Michael Brown Duo, 5–9 p.m.––Your family will not want
to miss this spectacular buffet featuring local seafood favorites.
Live entertainment with the Michael Brown Duo and family

* Rainbow Island Supper featuring Marshgrass, 6:30–8:30 p.m.

Family Pool Games at the Beach Club, 1 p.m.––Join the
Junior Staff at the Beach Club Bridge Pool for an hour of fun

Family Basketball Tournament on the Beach Club Sports

Tie Dye on the Beach Club Lawn, 3:30 p.m.––A Sea Island
favorite with the Activities staff to create your own unique

"A Dog's Purpose" Screening in the Beach Club Theater, 5:30
p.m.––Philip and Nancy Anschutz invite you to a special
screening of “A Dog’s Purpose” in the Beach Club Theater
followed by a cocktail reception in the Ocean Room. Screening
is open to adults ages 21 and over only, and business casual
attire is requested. Due to space limitations, each reservation is

Monday, July 3
Firecracker 5K at the Beach Club, 8 a.m.––Run or walk your
way to great health, fitness, and well-being. The race will wind
down our palm-lined drive alongside the peaceful marshes. Preregistered guests may check in the day before the race at the
Fitness Center from 4:30–7 p.m. or beginning at 7:30 a.m. dayof at the Beach Club. Commemorative t-shirt and grab-and-go
breakfast included in price. Top finishers will be awarded prizes
at the end of the race. Pre-registration, $40/person. Walk-up
registration day-of, $50/person. Reservations required.

* Fabulous Fourth Banana Split on the Beach Club Lawn,
3:30 p.m.––All ages are welcome for our annual "50-foot
Banana Split." Enjoy this sweet masterpiece and see how fast it

Parade Decorating Party at Summit Park, 3:30–4:30 p.m.
Come decorate your bikes for the annual July 4th Parade!
Supplies will be provided. Awards for the best vehicle and float
will be announced after the parade on July 4th! For parking,

Princess Tea Party in the Beach Club Ocean Room,
4:30–5:30 p.m.–Her royal highness, Princess Cloister, invites
all princesses in training, ages 3–8, to attend her royal tea party.
Princesses are encouraged to wear their favorite princess dresses.

Pirate Party at Sea Island Kids, 4:30–5:30 p.m.
Ahoy, Mateys! Join other pirates as we make pirate crafts, look
for buried treasure, and play some island-hopping games. Ages

6–9 p.m.–Aloha! Join us for our annual luau featuring dancers,
authentic tropical music, and a traditional Hawaiian buffet

Flag Raising Ceremony on the Beach featuring Rich Wagner,
8 a.m.–Join us on the ocean side of the Beach Club for a
patriotic medley of songs and inspirational thoughts to start the
day’s celebrations. Complimentary. Reservations not required. s
Independence Day Fun Run, 8 a.m.–Bring the whole family
for a one-mile run/walk/stroll on the beach. Meets on the Beach
Club Lawn. Complimentary. Reservations required.
* Vehicle Lineup for the Parade on Rainbow Island, 9 a.m.
Please register your vehicle for the parade and be ready to line
up by 9 a.m. on Rainbow Island. Line-up ends promptly at 9:45

Holiday Cancellation
Policy
For July 1–4, all events and activities (including Yacht Club,
Fitness, Tennis, Spa, Golf, Shooting School, Camp Cloister,
and Equestrian) require a 48-hour notice of cancellation.
Failure to cancel within the noted time frame will result in
a $25/person charge. Equestrian will be charged the full cost
of the activity. All no-show reservations, that are not cancelled,
will be charged the full rate of the event or activity.
Bingo no-show reservations and cancellations within 48
hours will be charged $50/person.
Broadfield requires cancellations 72 hours prior to activity.
Broadfield cancellations within 72 hours will be charged the
full cost of the activity.
Restaurant Dining requires cancellations to be made 6 hours
prior to reservation. No-show reservations or cancellations
within 6 hours will be charged $50/person.
Special Holiday Dining Events requires cancellations to be
made 24 hours prior to reservation. No-show reservations or
cancellations within 24 hours will be charged full price.
Tax and Service Charge may be added to Activities
(including Spa and Salon services) and Special Holiday
Dining Events.
