What you can expect
The Mineralogy unit deals with optimizing and characterizing hydraulic binder
systems, such as cement, gypsum and geopolymers.
o You will lead a research lab, including managing your employees in disciplinary
terms.
o You will develop new and improved technical know-how and perform project work
and scientific studies.
o You will also deal with scientific research as well as document and present the
results of your work.
o You will take responsibility for working with special apparatus.
o You will also cooperate with business units and external departments and will
advise employees on technical issues.
What we expect
o You have earned an outstanding PhD in physical or inorganic chemistry.
o During your academic work you have ideally focused on nucleation and crystal
growth processes in inorganic compounds.
o You also possess knowledge of thermodynamics and of the kinetics of dissolution
and crystallization processes in aqueous solutions.
o You are proficient in both spoken and written English and, ideally, have good
German language skills.
o You are an innovative thinker with excellent communication skills.
