Next General Membership Meeting
Our next General membership meeting will be held Friday May 12, 2017 at Reed Farm
Clubhouse on Rt. 22 in Brewster, NY. Doors open at 6:30pm, and the General membership
meeting will start at 8:00pm. A Feis meeting will follow the General meeting.

• Sadly, Kathleen “Kay” Flynn, Emerald Association member, passed away April 20,
2017 surrounded by her loving family.
• Congratulations to this year’s scholarship award winners: John Arceri, Grandson of
Pat and Eileen Weir; James Carmody, Grandson of Owen and Kathleen Farrell;
Kaleigh Comparetto, Granddaughter of Pauline Killean and daughter of SallyAnn and
Charlie Comparetto; Liam Dvorak, Grandson of John Glynn; Jack Horvath, Grandson
of Russ and Pat Lavan; Liam McManus, Grandson of John Mulvihill and son of Brian
and Kathleen McManus.
Upcoming Events:
• Please save-the-date……Saturday, May 20th. Benefit for our longtime friend, Declan
McGrath. See flyer attached for further information.
• This year’s Feis will be held on Sunday, May 21, 2017. Mass will start at 8:00 am.
This year’s Honoree will be Karyn Oster. “All Hands” are requested for assisting
with set up, various committees during the day and clean up. There will be sign-up
sheets at the General meeting on Friday, May 12th.
Trips:
• John Mulvihill has announced the trip to the Saratoga Racetrack has been cancelled
due to the rise in costs.
Other Notes:
All Emerald Association members are invited to help by recruiting family members,
friends, co-workers, etc… to join our organization, and encouraging entrepreneurs, store
owners, etc… to place an ad in our newsletter.
Please contact Tim Hannon and sign up to help drive local Veterans in need to get to the
store(s), doctor’s appt, etc... at 845-216-8825.
If you have any news/information regarding our members (engagements/weddings,
births, death notices, hospitalized/sick/injured members, etc...) that you would like to be
included in the newsletter, please contact me by the end of that month.
