Reading Eggs
Chance To Write books: Children will write: “about their favourite room or place.” This
requires a lot of figurative language. The best way to go about structuring a descriptive
piece of writing is to describe it, location by location, as if moving around the scene
with a video camera.
Continue to read regularly. It is important for you to be reading a variety of genres.
Our focus this term is a series of revision sessions based on key comprehension skills
from stories we have read this year.
Please log on to Reading Eggs at least twice per week for approximately 20 minutes
each session and complete any tasks.
Maths
This week we are focusing on spellings that are words with prefixes; words ending in ent, -ence, and -ency; words ending in -ant, -ance, and -ancy and ough string words.
You must learn to spell and understand the meaning of each word and know how to
use it in your writing.
Meanwhile please continue to revise any words that you think you cannot spell from
previous lessons and words that are showing up as mistakes in your writing.
Continue to learn all times tables.

school whilst being replaced by Reading and Arithmetic test papers that the children
are to work through and correct their errors. These are to be returned no later than

Revision books should now be utilised every week by the children with a reminder that
