Cave Drawings Comic Strip Ancient Cave Drawings In prehistoric art, the term "cave painting" encompasses art involving the application of colour pigments on the walls, floors or ceilings of ancient rock shelters. They are a variety of figurative and abstract images, mostly depicting hunting scenes, or arrangements of animals - usually bison, horses, reindeer, cattle, aurochs, and mammoths, although a wide variety of other creatures were depicted, such as: lions, musk ox, wolf, fox, rabbits otters, seals, fish, reptiles, birds and other creatures also appear. There is no landscape painting in prehistoric art, or even any elements of landscape, like mountains or rivers. Images of humans appear only very rarely: even then, they are humanlike, rather than realistically human. Groups: Mississippian, Paleo, Archaic, Woodland You need to include the following in your drawing: • DO NOT put your civilization on your artwork • Lots of color • Symbols (about 10 different ones) • Needs to tell a story or a scene from your time period • Artifacts (about 10 different ones) • Food Source (about 3 maybe more) • Tools/Weapons (about 3) • Shelter (have at least three different scenes/examples or areas) • On the back of your artwork, tell me how your civilization connects to and impacts the next period
