Living your busy weekdays, you might not even have noticed
when the winter boots got off your feet, and that the greys
of the winter months have already been replaced by the
awakening colors of spring. The season offers ideal trends for
recharging, from which we have gathered a bundle for you –
on the pages of our magazine. As always, the shops of MOM
Park are bringing you the season’s selection of exclusive
fashion, which you can enjoy together with a widening range
of restaurants – and with this, more options of culinary joys.
This spring, our well-known, premium milieu is welcoming
you again with many novelties as well as fresh and exciting

this season too. Besides of the popular MOM Park Shopping
Days, we are suggesting two special events in relation to
design and gastronomy: from April 3rd to 30th, during the
Designer POP-Up!, you can get acquainted with young
designers, artists and their creations; in June, joining our
Gastro Festival, you will have the opportunity to taste the
best of gourmet kitchen in our restaurants.
We know that the joy of going to the cinema is matchless.
The reconstruction works are in progress, as we are striving
to be able to welcome you on an unrivaled movie premiere
as soon as possible. Meanwhile, dip into the excitements and

TRENDS IN BLOOM
This year, Spring is greeting us with a truly peachy freshness, in fashion as well as in interior decoration. The fashion trends are enhancing the
feminine silhouette with determined lines, while at the same time, they also revive it with a discreet glow: we can expect a very delicate and
soft season. Considering the patterns, besides of flower-power, we will not need to set a limit to stripes either. Vertical or horizontal, no matter
in what direction they run, it is clear that stripes are not running out of fashion anytime soon. Further highlights of the season are
pastel colors: powdery pink and baby blue, flowing cut, and of course, flowers in all quantities. With spring arriving, one must
not forget that the winter fragrances might seem too heavy on warmer days. Thus, it is time to switch to a lighter, more flowery
fragrance. This spring, romantic and airy are the trends for fragrances as well as on the runway.
Similar to your wardrobe, your home cannot do without the colorful mood of spring either. This year, warmer colors are
appearing in the world of the minimalist interior design trends as well. Thus, the soft shades of the currently trending colors
will turn the fashionable, matte, natural surfaces of your home fresh for the season.

ROMANTIC DETAILS
Flowers, geometric patterns and pastel colors – this spring, you cannot have too much of these!
The patterns and colors reminding one of the Sixties are mixed with classic elegance, feminine
charm and solid romanticism. While pastels clearly rule the clothes trends, in case of accessories,
more vivid colors will appear too. Thus, we can freely choose from the stronger tones of pinks,
blues or yellows too, when selecting for example a bracelet, or a necklace. However, jewellery
is only bold in its color, as the timeless principle of „less is more” is a standard to follow this
spring too.
The golden details appearing on accessories have been a standard success for years
now. There is no difference this year either, but in the spectrum of the current trends,
rose gold also appeared as an option. This special, rosy hue of gold is in perfect
harmony with one of the favourite shades of the spring – powder pink.

COMEDY OF COLORS
The spring season dictates fresh and playful trends in the field of kids clothes. As the days get warmer, you
can spend more and more time outdoors with the kids. However, the unsteady spring weather, unfortunately,
makes it easy to catch a cold, so it is probably in this season that we have to pay the most attention to
layered clothing. Luckily, the spring trends line up scards of lovely jackets and sweet jumpers,
in which the time spent outdoors becomes even more pleasant.
Soft pastels are the winners in kids clothing too. What is more, tone-in tone is not a taboo either,
so the very feminine little ladies can feel free to dress in powdery-pink from head to toe if they
wish to. Baby blue is the other trendy color of the season, but you can choose different shades
from the pastel palette too, as the main rule of the season is playfulness.
In case of footwear, the most important feature is that they should be comfortable, and
provide safe grip. Therefore, a hi-top can be an ideal choice both for the weekdays and the

RETHINKING CLASSICS
The male genre of the 2017 fashion trends is somebody who mixes loose elegance with charm, does not go
against conventions, but is still bold and rebellious.
As for colors, the soft, summer tones are the winners this year: light grey, bone-white or grey-blue can be an
excellent choice, and the more daring ones can choose from the calm shades of purple or pink too.
Leather shoes are the symbols of classic elegance. However, shoe trends this year go against the traditional
forms and colors, and switch the classic lines to daringly sporty. The flashy white soles will

Soft tones, micropatterns and reduced flower patterns: these are the favorites of the 2017 season.
The light pastels are starring in the field of men’s fashion too. The number ones are the
calm shades of purple. However, if it’s about accessories, you do not have to forget
the off-whites, bone-whites, baby blue and camel tones either in the spring season.
In suit trends, the minimalist, slim styles are the standards. In colors, the pastel

INTERVIEW WITH ZSÓFIA MAUTNER
In 2009 you exchanged your diplomatic service career for the
gastronomy one. Why?
In 2005 I started, still as a diplomat, writing my blog
Chili&Vanilla but I did not think that a new career was going to
emerge for me. Due to the permanent flow of experience I was
sure that despite the brave and unusual decision, that was the
profession I would be enthusiastic to do till the end of my life.
You were living abroad for a long time. What could you bring
home with yourself in terms of gastronomy?
Each city and trip contributed much to my personality even
in respect of culinary. New York was the milestone as it is so
versatile and open in terms of culture and gastronomy that I
could not help but integrate it in my way of thinking. When I
travel, I try to see everything through the window of a kitchen.

What does gastronomy mean to you?
I love each part of gastronomy but the stories, faces and
emotions behind it contribute the most to my enthusiasm.
I do not know any other medium that can make people feel
the same thing within such a short time. My mission is to give
inspiration and ideas to make weekday meals versatile and
interesting.
What gives you inspiration and how?
Anything can inspire me. First of all the market, the season and
my travels but even some mood, a movie or spice can give rise
to new thoughts. I have already cooked by the inspiration of a
perfume, a chorus and even of a car.
Do you have favorite cuisines?
I love the Turkish one with the much parsley and mint as well as
the millions of mezze of the Arabic cuisine and the Vietnamese
hot and sweet salads with coriander. Currently I am interested
in the Persian cuisine that is hardly known. At the same time I
am a fan of the Hungarian cuisine as well.
As a passionate lover of spices what do you recommend for
the season?
I love to use much from coriander, mint, sage but I also propose
tarragon which is sensational if used in the right quantity. It
makes a simple mushroom stew, meals with yoghurt or cold
soups really different.
What are the trends in gastronomy in 2017?
More and more vegetables and less meat. Health consciousness,
cuisine of the Middle-East and home pickling.

them in lukewarm water first, then put a few icecubes in their water, as this way, you can cool the water gradually, and will also be able
to keep down its temperature permanently. Flower foods can be beneficient, it is worth calling

either: the water of the flowers must be changed regularly. The fragrant lily, the colorful tulip

REFRESHING COFFEE TEMPTATION
Each season has its own coffee. When warm weather arrives, we start offering lighter, fruity ground coffee specialties instead of the robust,
more intensively roasted variations. Keeping this in mind, the coffee specialist of Nespresso created a truly refreshing coffee cocktail, which we
now share with you. This iced coffee with apple, bearing the enchanting citrus flavor of the Cosi Grand Cru will swipe you right back into your

Pomme d’Api – Iced coffee with apple
INGREDIENTS:
Nespresso Cosi Grand Cru ground coffee (40 ml)
1 dl apple juice
2 cl pomegranate syrup
A few slices of apple
Crushed ice
EQUIPMENT:

DIRECTIONS:
Pour the syrup into the glass, and throw the crushed ice on it. Pour the apple juice on top of the ice with the help of a spoon, but do not mix it.
Brew a Grand Cru coffee, shake it with three icecubes, then pour it into the glass. Decorate with apple slices.

ICE-CLAD PETALS
Try an enchanting lemonade, which will swoop you away from this early
spring to the sun-drenched, mystic world of the fabulous Orient with its
taste! The essence of this unique tasting lemonade is provided by the
peculiar aroma of rose-water. If you like culinary epicureanism, do not
miss the chance to try this easy-to-make, fabulous refreshment!
INGREDIENTS:
1,5 l sparking spring water
2-3 tablespoons of rose water
8 tablespoons of xylitol
1 non-sprayed rose
1 dl lemon juice
DIRECTIONS:
Mix the rose-water into the sparkling water, then season it to your
taste with the xylitol you dissolved in the lemon juice. The prepared,
chilled lemonade is turned luxurious by the ice-clad rose petals: nip the
petals carefully from the non-sprayed rose, place them one by one into
the sections of the ice-cube mold, and fill the mold with water. Place
the mold into the freezer for a night, then put the ice-clad petals into
glasses before serving – fill the glasses with rose lemonade, and dive
into the luxurious aroma!

YOURSELF
Spring has arrived, the weather is warmer by the day, so at last, we can start
doing excercise outdoors. Running in fresh air is very healthy, it enhances your
stamina and keeps you in shape too. Technical outerwear is very important,
as it provides you with comfort during running: it keeps your skin dry by
moving sweat away to the fabric surface. Selecting the right running shoes is a
somewhat more complex task, as perfect means something different for each
runner: the shoe must fit to the arch of the foot, must provide the necessary
shock absorption, and the outer sole should give you a solid traction too.
In case you are open to more innovative sports, do not hesitate to try TRX, with
which you can train in any environment, even outdoors, or in fitness parks too.
The advantage of this training equipment is that it allows you to train multiple
muscles at the same time, with your body weight. TRX is a functional training
equipment consisting of webbing and handles. It is usually fastened to the wall,
or to a rail.
Similarly to TRX, yoga is also a sport that is not restricted to a fitness club - it

bag workshop of their studio located near Astoria. Try yourself and make your accessories from premium basic materials, with the assistance

On 15 April Eszter Korcsmár, famous for her Art Kores brand will host you. The artist engaged in making unique jewelry and other works will
await you with many colorful materials and different tools and techniques in MOM Park. Leather, plastic, metal – feel free to try the textures
and to mix them to your liking! Specialists will provide assistance in designing, compiling and painting, so you will be able to take self-made and
unique jewelry with yourself.
On 21 April you’ll have the chance to get acquainted with fine art and graphic technique and procedures with the help of ’Szitázóműhely’ and
– depending on your personality – you may try to resolve or, the other way around, strengthen the contradictions between being unique and
mass production. Design your unique T-shirt and linen bag while emphasizing your personality!
On 29 April Ági Franta will introduce you to the unparallel world of design. The designer famous for her exciting and geometric lamps will demonstrate in MOM Park how light can be closed in a proper form. Visit the workshop to learn the steps of making a 20-bulb lamp and you can
make your own star twinkle lights by the inspiration of the designer and in the colors you like the most!
If you wish to try your creativity, remember to preliminarily register online for the workshops at the page www.mompark.hu/designerpopup.
Each workshop will host 20 or 24 people if held on a single occasion. Those registered may take part in the workshops in 10 or 12-member
