Libre Tea Glass Cover #2 – 2 X 3 Squared

Supplies:
Crochet Hook 5mm
1 ball of Bernat Handicrafter Cotton (2 balls: if using variegated yarn, 2 coloured
design or making a long/wider strap)
Please note: tight crocheters may need to use a larger hook and loose crocheters
may need to use a smaller hook.

Libre Large
Base bottom:
1. Start with a Magic Circle, working 6 sc into the ring. Pull starting end to
tighten circle. Join to first sc with a sl st, and ch1.
2. Sc twice into each st around. (12 sc) Join to first sc with a sl st, and ch1.
3. *Sc in next st, then work 2sc into next st. Repeat from * to end. Join to
first sc with a sl st, and ch1. (18 sc)
4. *Sc in next 2 sts, then work 2sc into next st. Repeat from * to end. Join
to first sc with a sl st, and ch1. (24 sc)
5. *Sc in next 3 sts, then work 2sc into next st. Repeat from * to end. Join
to first sc with a sl st, and ch1. (30 sc)
Set Libre on base – to ensure correct size – the base should barely peek out from
under the Libre.
6. Working in Back Loop Only sc around. Join to first sc with a sl st, and ch1.
(30 sc)
7. Sc around. Join to first sc with a sl st, and ch1. (30 sc)
8. Sc around. Join to first sc with a sl st
Pattern:
9. Ch 6 (the first 3 ch count as dc), *sk 3, dc in next 2 st, ch3. Repeat from *
to end, dc in last st., sl into 3rd ch
10.Sl st into dc and into sp, ch 3, 2 dc in same space, * ch 2, 3 dc in next
space. Repeat from * to end, dc in last st., sl into 3rd ch
11.Sl st into 2 dc and into sp, ch 3, 1 dc in same space, *ch3, 2 dc in next
space. Repeat from * to end, dc in last st., sl into 3rd ch
12.Repeat row 10
13.Repeat row 11
14.Repeat row 10
15.Ch1, sc in each ch and dc around, sl into 1st sc, ch 1 (30sc)
16.Sc in sc around, sl into 1st sc, ch 1
17.Repeat row 16
Strap:
18.Sc in 1st 6 sc, ch 1, turn
19.Sc2tog, sc in next 2 st, sc2tog, ch 1, turn
20.Sc2 together twice (2sc), turn
21. Sc in both sc. ch 1 turn
22.Repeat row 21 until desired length (approximately 36”- 40”, strap will
stretch a little with weight of Libre and tea)
23.Sc 2 in sc (twice) (4st)
24.Sc 2 in 1st sc, sc in next 2 sc, sc 2 in last sc (6st)
25.Finish off, leaving long tail for sewing to opposite side of cover. Count 9
stitches over from beginning strap row and sew strap securely on.
(should be strap base of 6 sc, 9 stitches, sewn strap, 9 stitches)
26.Join yarn in middle of the 9 sts and sc stitch across, and up and around
strap. Join with a sl st. and Finish off. Do the same for the other side.
Weave in ends.
Libre Original
Base bottom:
