Colindale Children’s Chess Tournament

Entry fee: £25 (£26.50 if not ECF Silver)

ECF graded Childrens’ chess tournament with training in-between matches by
experienced chess coaches. This event will be run under the supervision of Marc Shaw.
This event is aimed at players starting to play competitive games and capable of
recording their games. Please bring a scoring book and a pen to record your chess
moves. The emphasis is on finding ways to improve using their own games as a starting
point, with advice and improvements offered as well as explanations of why moves are
played.
Endgame ideas and principles are demonstrated by using studies and examples from the
event. This is a social and educational event where having fun is as important as
learning.
Please bring your own refreshments.
Schedule: Arrival 1.45 pm, Round one 2.00 pm. We aim for 5 rounds.
Entries are limited so please enter early to avoid disappointment.

We do provide supervision for the children for the entire session.
