Dear Parents/Guardians,
Our school is preparing for a new school book. We are very keen to have students involved in its making, therefore, students
are required to answer a few questions regarding their life here at EAIS. The school book will be an important memory that
needs to be cherished, so students should be answering these questions honestly and elaborately. The link that has the
questions that your child is requested to answer online is posted online. Students should answer the questions no later than
the 2nd of January.
P.S. Answering the questions is mandatory and will be graded as a homework assignment.

Literature
This week our students covered Vocabulary Lesson 9 and went over their display lines. Literature pack #3 was assigned for the week
along with turning in CH.6-9 Bud not Buddy.
Both Literature Pack and Ch.6-9 from Bud not Buddy will have model answers posted on the blog over the winter break.
Students will take home the Revision Pack , they are assigned to complete 3 of the pages before January 2nd.
Language
This week students were introduced to the schwa sound and answered the relevant book pages. They wrote a persuasive about school
homework. Students went home with a review pack, they are requested to answer the first 9 pages of the pack before the 2nd of January.

1)Decimal multiplication.
2) Multiply Decimals.
3) Zeros in the product.
N.B: -Quiz 2 was corrected and distributed to students.

Dear Family,
I wish you had a refreshing happy vacation and boosted your
energy to resume our semester energetically and full of enthusiasm.
We are having our practical midyear exam this week and
please make sure to send the lab coats as it’s a must for the exam. Wish all my young scientists the best of luck in their exams.
Also this week we will start our revision and we are focusing this
week on unit 3 lessons .

Dear parents and students,
This week the students identified and analyzed the vocabulary words
for the lesson. We took a trip to the abandoned settlements of Jericho and
Çatal HÜyÜk.
We explored how the oasis helped the people of Jericho, the buildings,
growth and trade of Catal HÜyÜk.
We had the second quiz of the term.
After the vacation, we will complete the lesson by exploring the final
settlement; Ur. We will recognize how its location helped the development
and analyze its growth into a city- state.
Please note that the revision sheets for Semester 1 Exams are on the
blog, the students will receive the hard copy of the sheets after the holiday.
