Upon arrival, proceed to embark on a 4-night Nile cruise from Luxor to Aswan. In the afternoon, enjoy a sightseeing tour of the east bank of the Nile. Visit Karnak Temple Complex , one of the largest temple complexes which is dedicated to God Amon and his family. Next, visit Temple of Luxor , built in the time of Pharaoh Amenhotep II and Pharaoh Ramses II. DAY 2 LUXOR – ESNA – EDFU (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner) This morning, continue your journey to the west bank of the Nile to visit Valley of the Kings , where tombs were built for the pharaohs and powerful nobles of the New Kingdom of ancient Egypt. Next, visit the funerary Temple of Hatshepsut , a mortuary temple dedicated to Amon-Ra, the Sun God. Thereafter, continue on your cruise and sail south towards Edfu, passing through Esna Locks . DAY 3 EDFU – KOM OMBO (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner) After breakfast, hop on a kalesh ride , an Egyptian horse-drawn carriage, to visit Temple of Horus , the best preserved ancient temple in Egypt . DAY 4 KOM OMBO – ASWAN (Packed Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner) Early morning, head to the magnificent Abu-Simbel Temples , one of the most famous ancient monuments after the Great Pyramids of Giza. The temples were once at risk of being submerged under water in the 1960s. With help from UNESCO, egyptologists and antiquity experts, the temple was dismantled from where it was built over 3,000 years ago and repositioned to where it is standing now. In the afternoon, sail around Elephantine Island on a traditional felucca ride and view Mausoleum of the Aga Khan on the west bank of the Nile. DAY 5 ASWAN - CAIRO (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner) This morning, disembark from the cruise and continue sightseeing in Aswan. Visit Aswan Dam, an engineering miracle built in 1960s to regulate river flooding and provide water and electricity to the whole of Egypt. Next, proceed to view the enormous structure of Unfinished Obelisk and take a motorboat ride to the beautiful Temple of Philae , dedicated to Goddess Isis. Thereafter, transfer to the airport for your domestic flight to Cairo . Note You may wish to rest early for the night due to the early morning ascent to Mt Sinai the following day. DAY 8 ST CATHERINE – RED SEA (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner) This morning, climb up majestic Mt Sinai to watch the sunrise. In doing so, it is believed that you will retrace the footsteps of Moses who had climbed Mt Sinai to receive the 10 Commandments. Visit St Catherine’s Monastery , situated at the base of Mt Sinai, which is considered to be the oldest known monastery in the world. Built between 527 and 565 AD, the complex was reputedly built upon the site of the Burning Bush. Depart St Catherine for a resort in Sharm el-Sheikh, a popular resort region in Red Sea . Note You may choose to opt out of the Mt Sinai ascent and wait for the group at the hotel. DAY 9 RED SEA (Breakfast) Today, spend the day at leisure. Take the chance to relax and rejuvenate at your resort. DAY 10 RED SEA – CAIRO (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner) Transfer to the airport for your domestic flight to Cairo. Upon arrival, visit Khan El-Khalili , the largest bazaar in the Middle East with more than 4,000 stalls. You can shop for excellent handicrafts and even try Egyptian coffee and shisha, a traditional flavoured tobacco, at your own expense. DAY 11 CAIRO – SINGAPORE (Breakfast/Meals On Board) Today, drive past Tahrir Square . Then, visit the famous pharaohs and marvel at the treasures of ancient Egyptian civilisations during your guided tour at Egyptian Museum.
